Oldest College in Central India

Overall its an excellent college to be in which provides excellent facilities with lowest tution fees.

I appeared in MP PET 2010 which was a state level entrance exam but now the admissions are through IIT JEE. I scored 353/500 in MP PET and secured 3300 rank.

The course curriculum is excellent in nature as being an autonomous college it provides an independent schedule and mechanism for conducting and evaluating exams. The Laboratories are very well equipped as this is only the second college in India alongside IIT kharagpur to have actual Babcock willcox boiler.

No the college doesn't provide any internship and we have look outside for internship but yes the college has excellent placement record with more than 30 companies visiting every year.

The collgeg is one of the best colleges in Madhya Pradesh in terms of placement record as more than 30 companies visiting every year and 300+ student gets placed every year. Some of the notable companies include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Nokia Siemens, Microsoft, Hindalco etc

The fee is very affordable and it was one of the reason I chose this college. The annual fees for general category is 22300 only which is lowest in Madhya Pradesh. Also I stayed in hostel for 4 years and the hostel fees was only 432 Rs per year exculding mess charges.

The college provides Scholarships to SC and ST categories. I availed Prime Minister scholarship of 1500 Rs which is meant for Wards of Indian Army perusing Technical courses.

The college has excellent hostel facility with total 9 Boys hostel with close to 900 capacity and 2 girls hostel having 200 capacity. The Hostel organizes Vijay Nema Memorial Cricket tournament every year which is a day night cricket tournament where in teams from all the 9 hostels participates. Also there are several other events organized in hostel during Ganesh Chaturthi.

The schedule was not very hectic and the number of periods every day were a little less and often we have students going on long vacations but during exam time the schedule gets tighter and everyone gets busy with their theory and practical assignments.

The college takes 20% student by AIEEE having all india quota while reat 80% by MP PET. I scored 353/500 in MP PET and secured 3300 state rank which was not enough to get EC branch but since my father was in Indian Army so I got EC in JEC using Sainik quota where my state rank was 37 and we had 2 reserve seats for Army wards. The General category closing rank for EC was around 1000. Now a days college has started taking students by IIT JEE.

Being a government college we mostly have well qualified very experienced permanent faculties in college. Many of the faculties were passed out from this college in 1970's and 1980's decade so they are very well aware of the capabilities of the college labs.
