Remarks
One has to secure 35% marks in PUC/+2 or in the diploma 3 years course to get admission to this college. The admission process is through Karnataka CET and Diploma CET. One can also avail seats in the management quota of the college All the details regarding the application and fee structure are available in the admission section of the college. These details are also available on the college website. I belong to the SC caste and I availed the benefits of caste. We had no CET fees because backward class students are exempted from paying tuition fees. The overall admission process is good and no other changes are required for the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was very interested in construction, estimation, and civil structures so I chose this as my foundation course so it helps me in my future career perspective. There was a limited number of faculties available. All faculties were not highly qualified or experienced. Students were divided into batches and each batch got its faculty advisor. Faculty advisors helped us a lot during academics. Overall the ratio is around 15:1 for the student-faculty ratio. Our exams were VTU-based not much tougher. We had choices to answer questions. Exams were very lately conducted and results are also lately shown in VTU affiliated colleges
Internships Opportunities
Beautiful companies like Global, Cisco, and HAL offered internship opportunities for the best. The stipend was around 10k to 20k. Internship opportunities were not up to the mark in our college. We had an industrial visit and that was the only internship we got. My project was an experimental study on self-compacting concrete using chemical mixtures.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements during and from the 6th semester itself. One without backlogs has a higher priority in getting placed. Many big companies like L&T, HP, HCL, IBM, Infosys, cognizant, Mindtree, Wipro and many more were the companies visited and no of an offer made was around 5 to 10 The highest package was around 12.35 lakhs for Jaro as an executive manager and the average package was around 240000 Placements were very less for civil mechanical students compared to other branches. At last, only 30 to 40 percent of people got placed. That too with the lowest salary packages. One who got the best knowledge will move into some good company. I planned to work for some years and change the company and this was all I thought during my academics.
Fees and Financial Aid
1st year fees 32000 2nd year fees 32000 3rd year fees 32000 4th year fees 32000 Totally 128000 fees were paid and this is excluding the exam fees and uniform fees. The college had its book library shop and one can buy notes in it for cheap prices. I belonged to a backward class and I was exempted from paying CET fees. The cost to study was not much compared to other private colleges. Vidyaasare was the scholarship for the merit students in ATME. We got a post-matric scholarship from the government of Karnataka social welfare board. I did not get placed in any company.
Campus Life
Maya was the annual cultural fest held every year during the even semesters of the college. Science tech fests were also held and as we belong to the civil department, we had not many parts in tech fests. The classrooms were very neat and all the classrooms were sufficient with air and light. They are equipped with cameras. Practical labs had sufficient equipment for every student in ATME college. We had a sports ground, cricket ground volley ball ground and running track and every year sports was conducted in our college. I heard of only one club and its name is quantum. I was not part of any clubs.
