You need to have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering with at least 65% to get admission to this college. You can find the application on the college website www.vit.ac.in They need to give the students the option to choose their department whether they are willing to study this course or not.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose mechatronics engineering because the automation is the future of world. There is 1 faculty for each 30 students studying in the campus. Almost 90% of the faculties are PhD scholars. Highly talented.

Class Size: 37Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies offer internship to students. Based on the company the stipend varies. Some companies do not provide stipend. Some companies convert the internship of the students to job based on their performance.

Placement Experience

The pre final year students are eligible to apply for placements. Many top companies like BMW, Valeo, TVS, Tata etc have came to.campus for placements. As of now 1357 companies visited vit for placements (According to VIT's campus interaction website). The highest package given here is 16 MPA and the average package given is 5 LPA. 80-90% Of the student's gets placed. My plans will be kept within myself.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is pretty high for people's coming from a normal family background. It takes hardly 3.2L for this course for day scholars. Of opted for hostel consider the hostel fees. They provide central government's scholarship for students using the income certificate of the student's father/mother/guardian.

Campus Life

They conduct Rivera yearly which is the most famous fest happens in the campus. The library is abundant of books. Whatever the book we want we can get it there. Even we can suggest the library to have the book we want. All the basic amenities are included in the classroom with smart class feature. VIT gives more important to sports also. Yearly tournaments are conducted in between the student's to showcase their talent.

VIT - Pros and Cons

I applied for the VITEEE exam through the college website for a fee of Rs.1500 as far as I can remember, and the eligibility for writing the exam is having a minimum aggregate of physics, chemistry, and mathematics in class 12th. As far as reservation goes,I was not elegible for a reservation.I took my admission during the pandemic and I had to take part in an online admission cum entrance exam in which I had to have two devices.The exam was monitored by a faculty through web camera as well as a software called "third eye"(Recognises unwanted noises and gives alerts). A few challenges I faced during this is a proper internet connectivity for attending the exam but other than that the admission process was smooth....Read More
