Compared to other colleges in Chandigarh this is the best

Admission is in GGDSD CHD college is done through DHE(Director of higher education CHD ) no entrance is required. All the admission information can be found on the DHE CHD website. In the admission process, you choose colleges that come under the centralized admission courses and through counseling.

I choose BCA because I wanted to gain a deep understanding of computer science and I did so through this course, this course has helped me understand the core concepts of Computer science, in my batch there will be around 120 students total divided into 3 sections. Most of the teachers hold the Ph.D. degree in Computer science in my department and they got very tremendous teaching skills. If you can study 2 hours a day you can pass these semester exams very very easily. In my opinion, it was easy for me to pass all my exams.

Most internships are given in our college from companies like Byjus, IBM, CSB Bank, and many more reputed companies, internships are also offered by NGOs and startups. You need a basic level of knowledge to get into these companies and should have projects on your CV.

This college has a placement cell which lets know about internships and placements, from about 2 years you start to get offers of internships mostly paid but some are also unpaid it's up to you if want to do the internships. Companies offering these placements or internships are MNCs like Byjus, IBM, etc some of them are NGOs and some are startups. From around 1.5 lakhs per annum, these placements and internships are offered and go up to 6 lakhs per annum. Many students pursue internships and get a job there and many are placed in the final year. It's up to the students how well they perform in these placement rounds. After BCA I want to pursue MCA in my opinion it's the best thing to do after BCA.

The total course of this particular course which is of 3 years 6 semesters is around 1 lakh and 35 thousand in this particular college which is very cheap compared to other private colleges. You may apply for some govt. scholarships but I didn't. In my opinion, it's a value-for-money college with great infrastructure.

Compared to other colleges in this area this is the best college to hold events, freshers, annual fest, and many more. Every department has its fest every year for example my IT department held the Phonix fest in between April-June. There is a reading room and a large library which is very well kept. In my department, we have air conditioners and every other amenities like projectors, computers, etc. The scope of sports is very good as you play against the other colleges in the area as well. Extracurricular activities are held every week like poster making, workshops, etc. Various clubs like English club etc are also there. Compare to other colleges in this area this college has the best campus life.
