OVERALL GOOD

First I had to register for councelling on GGSIPU main website. Admission was based on the rank obtained in JEE (MAINS). After the result of Jee mains was announced, councelling started in which I had to select and prioritise options(colleges). Since my rank was under the cutoff, I got allotted the college I wanted. Then I had to pay 40k for seat reservation and later 39k for admission (40k + 39k = 79k yearly fees of this course).

I opted for Btech chemical engineering as I was interested in it. Term exams were conducted online and were not too difficult. Faculty members here are great and helpful. Their qualifications vary from PhD to PG with a good teaching experience.

Placements can be as high as 16L per year. The average package of placements is 4L-5L. But only top students get wide opportunities in the placement area, which is why the percentage of students getting placements is not great. Companies like IOCL, HPCL and TCS are among the major recruiters that come to this college.

The total fee of this course (Btech+Mtech Chemical Engineering) is 7.32L (6 years). There are many groups like Training and Placement Cell, ECell and also DSW which provide us with information regarding internship opportunities in various small to large companies.

Anugoonj, the annual fest of GURU GOBIND SINGH INDRAPRASTHA UNIVERSITY is generally held in the month of February but this year (2022) it was cancelled due to covid 19. There are many social groups made by students that a student can join. I personally have joined TnP, SWAR and Film and Photography club. Sports meet is held every year with mostly outdoor and indoor sports.
