Remarks

Candidates should qualify in the Engineering Entrance Exam, KEAM2021, conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, GOVT Of Kerala. The Candidate should pass in Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an examination recognized equivalent thereto with an aggregate 0f 45% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course for my carrier studies. The quality of teaching is good as the professors are highly qualified. The academics majorly focused on practical and project-based learning. The history of placements has been good for this college.

Class Size: 400Course Fees: INR 89000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are 89000 per year and were not lowered during the pandemic. There is a lot of scholarship and fee waiver schemes in my college mainly to uplift the poor students and special and special consideration is given to students under the fisheries department.

Campus Life

The campus has a beautiful atmosphere and a lot of greenery which keeps us fresh each time. Sports and games are held each year for students. This college is fulfilled with sufficient resources, facilities, infrastructure etc. Every classroom contains fans, lights, projector.

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.
