Remarks

You can get into this college by applying on the HSTES website. This website release the application form for admission to all the government colleges in Haryana. After applying, colleges will release their cut-off, then you can match your name in the list. I got admission on the spot round help from the respective college itself. Application is generally released after jee mains exam. Residents of Haryana, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS can avail of reservation benefits. The admission process is completely transparent so there is no way of any type of corruption in between the process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am fond of programming and data science that's why chose Computer engineering with Data Science. It was the new course introduced in 2020 only. The faculty is very much educated and most of them are either doing Ph.D. or Mtech from the same or different colleges. Talking about the student ratio there are about 60% boys and 40% girls in our batch. Term exams are held exactly on time and can be passed with a moderate amount of study because everything has been taught in the classes themselves. Moreover, Expert Webinars and talks are frequently held to provide practical insight into company requirements.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Companies started hiring interns from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like Airtel, Amazon, Samsung, etc organize various rounds for selecting the eligible candidate. These selection rounds mainly include technical exams, group discussions, showcasing of projects, etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students start getting internships from 5 semesters onwards and placement from 6 sem onwards. Many companies visit the campus with the amount of packages like Amazon, Samsung, Yamaha, Maruti Suzuki, Infosys, etc. The highest package goes up to 28lpa by Amazon and the lowest goes to 3 LPA. From Computer engineering the selection percentage is 90%+. Most of the companies look for the role of software development Engineer only

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very much feasible as compared to different colleges in Haryana. ROI (Return over investment) of this college is best Compared to any other college in Haryana. This semester there was a hike in our fees but that too by 1000 only. There are various types of scholarships you can apply for both given by the college and the government. College also provides soft loans without interest rates. I am still in 2nd year so I didn't apply for an internship but on talking with seniors I came to know that various companies come for internships like Airtel, Amazon, Samsung, etc. Which provides a very good amount as a stipend.

Campus Life

2.5

No fest has been organized on the campus for the last 2 years due to corona. But various other small competitions and functions have been organized from time to time by the college in the online mood. But this time college has decided to organize CULMYCA, which is one of the most popular Technical fests of Haryana in offline mode. The library is generally filled with various types of books but old editions. Our college library contains a good amount of new edition books. Sports are played on the college ground which is not too big so we have to adjust while playing different sports at the same time. Our college contains lots of technical and non-technical clubs which focus on coding skills to personality development.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the curriculum 7/10. It prepared the students with the theoritical aspects but lacked to prepare them for the practical knowledge. It can be improved by focussing more on practical examination. Each semester there were 3 exams, out of which two were sessionals and one was main exam. The exam difficulty level was moderate but the marking was strict.

Placement Experience:

placements at my college are decent but not extremely high like top engineering institutes. College has a placement cell that workds to connect student swith companies and prepeare them for the recruitment process. They orgarnize activities such as resume-building workshopsm aptituted training, mock interviews, soft-skills sessions to help students become more confidebt before palcements. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester of B.tech program. During this time, companies start visiting the campus for recruitment drives and placement interviews. before that student are encouraged to complete internships and improve their technical skills so they better prepared when placement season starts. some of the companies that have visited the campus in recent years include companies from the IT and service sector such as TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and a few smaller software and startup companies. These companies mainly hire students for roles like software developer, system engineer, technical support engineer, and trainee engineer. the highest package offered in recent year has been around 6-8 LPA, usually offered by a good tech company or startup. Average package is around 3-4 LPA. while the package are not extremely high, they still provide a good starting point for fresh graduates entering the IT industry. In terms of placement percentage around 30-40% of students who actively participate in placements manag to get placed through campus drives. some students also prefer to apply for jobs off-campus which can sometimes lead to better oppportunities depending on their skills and projects.

Placemts over here are okayish i would say , but the thing is that mostly govt exam aspirants come here so that they can study peacefully without thinking much about attendance an all , there are few clubs for tech enthusiast as well , and you will eventually know students who are into coding and stuff because they are very few . 7-8 Companies are visiting during this recession time , mostly service based , With the avg package of 5 lpa .
