Remarks

My admission process was pretty tempting because at that time everyone just wanted to survive the COVID and I have not opted for the entrance exams because you can enter the B.A.J.M.C course just by having 65% plus marks in your senior secondary. The eligibility for this course is pretty low even if you have scored the least you can still join the course and give your best. You just have to clear your senior secondary ( 12th ) by 65%. You can find the application form on the GBU official website which is GBU.AC.IN all the updates regarding the fee, different courses, management, aluminium, and forms for different courses you can find over there. The notice section will update you about the last dates and fee PDFs will be given over there. Since Gautam Buddha University is a semi government University the fee for the application form is pretty low and anyone can enrol in it. YES, THERE ARE RESERVATION BENEFITS. I want to see an more m.anaged admin office and a bigger unit of administration

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have chosen this course because I wanted to know how the media industry works and experience the Adeline rush and constant moving of the media and film industry. I chose this course because I wanted to be an full time video editor and work behind the screen to give any raw footage its maximum potential. My department - the department of mass communication has a total of 10 faculty members and we have 100 journalism pursuing students. Our facility is the catalyst for teaching us this well and giving us the non boaring lectures and because they are also from the journalism and mass communication background they know exactly how to grasp a student's attention and make him constantly focused on him when he is giving lectures. Qualification of the faculty is decided by our HOD sir which is for non permanent faculty you have to be a graduate and undergraduate in the field of JOURNALISM AND MASS COMMUNICATION and have cleared NET and be Dr. Exams are not easy they are extremely descriptive.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure for bachelors in journalism and Mass Communication. My first year's fees were 37000 rupees which were registration fees 10000 rupees security fees 10000 library fees 1000 sports these 500 exam fees 500 and academic fees for the 1st semester 15000 rupees. Then in my second semester, I had to pay another 15000 rupees which made a total of 30000 rupees for my entire 1st year of academic fees. In my second year, I had to pay 30 1000 rupees for my annual fees. And in my third year, I will be paying 12500 rupees for every semester and I'll be paying them twice. There is no fee Hike policy for or anything related to that the only thing is that Gautam Buddha University provides a very low cost education for bachelor's masters for PhD students being a semi government university it is extremely cheap and cost effective there are scholarships provided by H Gautam Buddha University administration that if you score above 95% your fee will be deducted and no jobs till you are in your 3rd year.

Campus Life

3.5

Being spread over 511 acres the campus is pretty vast and you will find everything here the name of our annual fest is abhivyanjana and it has everything you can imagine witches dance sing sports live badminton cricket volleyball hockey football table tennis and many many many more physical activities and it also has a talent hunt program music dance everything you can imagine you can find in hair conducted in mast and go for around 15days or 2 weeks. Availability of books is is is more than you can imagine because our library is a three-tier building which has different departments for different books you can find everything in there and it is also very easy to locate where you can find your books we also have in easy policy for book issuing and strict policy E for late givers and rule breakers are classrooms aakriti cleans and bag the architecture of the university is beautiful and hence everything looks spick and span social groups are dance group and Gbuians on Instagram.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are good I live in single occupancy Ros and hostels provide a fan a tube light a CFL, a bed a study table, a chair an almirah and my room also has a balcony. The best part is our mess because we are served good quality food which is both healthy and tasty and everyone wants to eat something like this. The registration part for hostels is pretty easy you have to go to the accounts office and pay for the room then they will give you an no dues slip which will consist of 3 slips one for your designated school an other for the hostel which you have to submit it to and the third one is for the students itself. Renting a PG is not convenient at all because the nearest good PG is around 3 km away it is not that perfect but still few words to take a pg number you have to go through many reasons and since Gautam Buddha University is a hostel only University there are many applications and boundaries for taking aPG you are not supposed to go to a PG in this university.

Placement Experience:

80% students are placed through DME with a package of 5 LPA to 7 LPA on an average which is quite decent for a fresher entering the industry. The top recruiting are for placements are Bharat Express, PR Guru, Amar Ujala, Dynamite News, T.H.E.M.E.S. Over 90% of the students were placed for internship in Amar Ujala, PR Guru, Aaj Tak, ABP News and Doordarshan. Top roles offered are journalist, content writer, anchor, film maker, and back end roles like video editor, graphic designer and many more. I personally plan to go into video editing after getting the degree.

Placements of our colleges and mediocre. From 6th semester students become elegible for campus placement. The highest package offered was 6LPA and the average package is 3-4 LPA. Placement depends upon the students applying for placement through college. Many students gets internships or jobs by themselves before even reaching placement cell.

Students become eligible for placement during their final year of college. DME offers several different companies that it has tie ins with for placements to students such as Gadgets 360, Aaj Tak, Myntra, PTI and D&P. 70-80% students get a good placement package. My personal plan following graduation is to pursue my higher education in correspondence with employment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself was nothing out of the ordinary material, it teaches you the basics of the field but the faculties were pretty good and helped us understand not just the basic but a little more so that we could actually be able to work in the environment once we get there. Also they organise workshops which was mandatory for all the students without any extra charge to learn from professional what to do and how to do it best. We also used to get projects which actually helped alot in learning with practice the theory.
