Entrance Preview
I took Karnataka CET and COMEDK My rank through CET was 1697 and I got a medical seat through it. My score was 116/180 I opted for this college as it is Bangalore itself and I can travel from home.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is of course a lengthy and voluminous. And there is more focus on academics like all the other medical colleges. The faculty in my college is quite good and approachable.
Internships Opportunities
I still haven't completed mbbs so internship is still far. As I'm a CET student I have 2 years of internship 1st year, It is in our college hospital, BGS, GIMS And 2nd year will be a rural posting. The stipend has not yet been decided for our batch and ours is a private college.
Placement Experience
Placement is in our college hospital. After the 4th year, the students have to do internship in the hospital for a year. After which there is one year rural internship only for CET students. Job opportunities for a doctor are really nice in a developing country like India or abroad.
College Events
BGS fest where students from all bgs schools and colleges took part Others are the CME programmes that are held in college for the medical students as well as practitioners. College day and ethnic day are the other celebration days.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As I am a merit student; the fees for me is affordable. It is 80,000 rupees per year which is less compared to the fees that comedk and management students have to pay. Plus we pay 16,700 rupees to cet every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarship is offered in our college But loan facility from banks is available National and state government offers scholarship for the students.There are many other scholarship programmes for the sc/st students.
Campus Life
Not much happening in college. No time for sports or extracurricular activities. There are debates sometimes which are nice usually held along with the CME programmes.
Hostel Facilities
I know quite many people residing in college hostel I have heard the food is nor that likeable like in all other hostels. But other facilities are good for my friend's staying in a PG, it is around rupees 5000 per month for 2 people in a room And food is provided 3 times.
Alumni/Alumna
There is good interaction with the seniors in our college It is anti ragging campus. The seniors are very helpful Help the juniors before exams and tell what is important. There is healthy relation between the students. Cultural programs bring us together.
Exam Structure
There is nothing called chilled our in a medical course. We have practicals in all the 6 days in a week. So lots if records to complete. There are 3 internals in a year.
