the admission process is based on marks of class 12. students are requested to submit their online forms with from the college website and the selection process is completely based on the amrks of class 12. if the 1st list doesn't fill the department seats, further lists are listed. reservations are available for sc, st and obc students.

the professors here are quite good. they are qualified and hold good expertise ion their subject, but they are not helful outside the classroom, and some of the professors also miss classs. the college is under Burdwan university and this university sets the questions for their colleges.

Class Size: 110Course Fees: INR 3500 per year

This is a govt sponsored college, so the fees is very nominal. Students need to pay approximately 3000 rupess at the time of admission every yearand you can also apply for scholarships like SVCSM, OASIS etc. from this college. But you have to take tuitions from outer sources if you want to score good marks.

Campus Life

There are libraries in each deprtament, but the number of books are limited. Some college fest and annual cultural functions are celebrated every year. the college observes nations celebrations and also conduct annual sports. Saraswati puja is also celebrated in the college.

We were held a class for upto 1hrs, thus we had 4 class a day. Sometimes it is boaring sometimes it becomes striking, it depends on the mood. It is to say little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if you don't read you cannot pass the semester examination. Although it will provide you a second chance. But with change of syllabus the exam pattern also change. You need to attain a total percentage of 75(%) to maintain you honours subject otherwise you would be regarded as programme course student.
