Course Curriculum Overview

From childhood, I wanted to learn English and I have an interest in English that's why I choose this course. The teacher, student ratio is 20:1. •Most of the professors are from Jadavpur University. They did M.sc from there. •There is the one-semester exam and it's decent.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There are a lot of scholarships that are provided to students to help them with their academic requirements. The SVMCM is the most popular scholarship among those. These students can apply for many private scholarships like Jindal, Birla, tata scholarships etc.

Campus Life

There are some popular clubs in the college that are run by senior students. There are many cultural events in a year that happen on many occasions. And there is a fresher's welcome party every year for the freshers.

Admission

The infrastructure of the college is very low. I would like to improve the new infrastructure. And the availability of books in the library is very. New books should bring in the library. These are the two major things that should be improved

From the point of view of improvements, I feel that digital classes can be conducted in the class by leaving the theory classes. We were held a class for upto 1hrs, thus we had 4 class a day. Sometimes it is boaring sometimes it becomes striking, it depends on the mood. It is to say little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if you don't read you cannot pass the semester examination. Although it will provide you a second chance. But with change of syllabus the exam pattern also change. You need to attain a total percentage of 75(%) to maintain you honours subject otherwise you would be regarded as programme course student.
