Indian Institute of Technology (IITBBS), Bhubaneswar Review

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT BBS), Bhubaneswar is an affordable IIT and I preferred the M.Tec program from the college because my academics were matching the college cutoff. I have to fill out the admission form from the college website after clearing the GATE and I was called for the document verification and PI round. My documents were verified on time and the PI round was so properly cleared that I was granted admission to the college.

The curriculum of the college is to the point and the plus point of the curriculum is that it mostly focuses on the practical aspects and helps us to develop our analytical thinking. The faculty of the college is one of the highly qualified and the teaching techniques of the college faculty is quite simple and easy. The faculty members mostly focuses on the practical aspect and help us to understand the theory through the project work and assignments.

The college has a very good internship program but I was not able to take part in the college internship due to the medical problem as per my friends they got very good opportunities in good companies to demonstrate their skills.

The placement of the college is as per the IITs college standards the college does not upset us with the placement packages. If we have good skills and knowledge we are able to receive a good amount of placement offers and the faculty of the college also help us to gain good opportunities. The highest salary offer of the college was around 35 LPA and the average salary offer was approx 16 LPA the ROI I felt was quite good. Jaguar Land Rover, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, GE India, Honeywell, etc are the names of the companies that participated in the college placement drive.

The college fee is quite affordable in comparison to many other IITs but still, the college offers a very good number of scholarship schemes like Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, Stipend/Financial Assistance, Top Class Education Scheme for SC/ST.

The college library is very well maintained we can find many international journals and many books from all types of topics and the library is a very good place to enhance our knowledge. The college organizes many completion on a timely basis like debate competitions, dance and music competitions, drama competitions.

The college has three hostels 2 for boys and 1 for girls and their names are Mahanadi Hall of Residence and Dr. A.N. Khosla Hall of Residence for boys, Subarnarekha Hall of Residence for girls. The hostel campus has a yoga center. The hostel campus has sports facilities like Basketball Court, Volleyball Court, Badminton Court, Table Tennis and Carom etc. The hostel also offers a WiFi facility. The food in the hostel is good and properly cooked.
