Remarks

I applied for the courses B.voc Tourism and hospitality management with B.voc software development. I got the tourism and hospitality management course. Got the admission via the general merit quota. Admission processes are done through the online single window allotment process of the University of Kerala.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I am interested in tourism studies, that's why I chose this course. There is about 1 tutor for 30 students. Facilities are having a minimum qualification of post-graduation, teaching very well. Exams will be strictly in time with Kerala University.

Internships Opportunities

4

College provides a minimum of 3 months of internship for each student. The internship will be in world-class hotels and resorts around the state. The resorts include RAMADA, CGH Marari, LEAF MUNNAR, etc. Average stipend: 6000-9000.

Placement Experience

4

From the sixth semester, the students are eligible to attend the interview for campus placements. Companies like CGH, LULU, RAMADA are the main job creators here. Lots of companies are providing a high salary placement. Almost all the students are getting jobs every year. I am not interested in working now, I would like to join PG.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for this course in this college are very affordable. Because it is a government-aided college. B.voc courses are aided by the government. Students are wanted to pay the semester exam fees through online registration. Usually, it is around 1000-2000 only. Lots of scholarships like fisheries grand, post metric scholarships are available.

Campus life is simply vibrant. Lots of new friends from all over the state including from Lakshadweep. The library is filled with many useful books and publications including Yojana. Hostel Facilities

4

There is a women's hostel directly run by college management. It provides medium-sized rooms sharing with 3 roommates. Canteen with Homely meals. The admission is only for girls of this college. The admission process is very simple. Boys prefer to rent a room or pay for guest accommodation for a stay. Lots of accommodation facilities are available around the college within 1km.

This is a tourism and hospitality course so the study us the languages like frunch, German etc. So it is very helpful for our future because all the time the travelers are foreigners and the curriculum gives us to communicate with them fluently so that they provide us to study forieng language. I have only one suggestion that they provide a communication session with the foreigners that will help us to improve our language

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum had so many unnecessary subjects that had no connection with our courses like psychology, zoology etc. They could have avoided that. Jewellery Designing students also had to study advanced minerology . Which in my opinion was a bit unnecessary. Apart from that i learnt to improve my drawing and rendering skills. Learnt about new types and also the history of jewellery Designing. Tools and Machinery used.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Usually, in our coarse, we follow updated curriculum about food processing technology. We do also have food analysis on our practical classes 3 days per week. I have chosen this coarse because I believe that food processing technology era is growing drastically and we can see lots of opportunities in the same field itself. Improvement can be made in the curriculum, so that they can also include food laws , importance of food in india and world wide so that students will get to know more about the syllabus and food processing technology. The frequency of timing that we get inbetween the semester exams is about 4-5 months which is pretty enough to cover all the portions that they have taken and we can calmly prepare for our end semester and exams very well.
