Remarks
The admission process was very smooth. It started with a call based on minimum CAT & XAT cutoffs. They were no sectional cutoffs as such. In the interview, we were allotted panels and a time slot was given. IMT has no reservation norms. There were additional marks for extra Curricular and Sports achievements.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I chose is PGDM(Finance) because of my interest in Finance. The course curriculum is such that we have Core subjects in the first 2 terms. We then specialize in our stream and also study core subjects with it. Exams are held at end of each term. There are 3 terms in each year. The final exams made up 40% of the total weightage. All teachers are Ph.D. in their respective fields.
Internships Opportunities
The internship process starts in October during the first year itself. There is a SIP week in which majority of students are placed and the rest get internship after that. The college conducts a training program before SIP week to ensure students are better equipped to deal with interviews. The internship role are largely entry level but there are high chances of converting it to PPO's.
Placement Experience
The placement record is pretty impressive at IMT Ghaziabad. The whole batch was placed in 17 days and the average placement figure was 15.60 lakhs. The companies came from Marketing, Finance, and Operations field. The prominent companies are ITC, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Credit Suisse, Godrej, and Titan.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is high and the total amount is 19.53 lakhs. The fee is paid in annual installments. The hostel and book charges are included in the fees themselves. The scholarships are given on the basis of academic performance in the first year. There no stipend jobs available during the course.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is really interesting and provides all-round development. The fest conducted are Passion, Mark-up World Cup, and Riscon. The library is well stocked and upto 3 books can be issued at one time. Various sports facilities are on campus The sporting event is called Chakravyuh, which is conducted on a large scale. Various clubs on campus are Finesse, Mark up, RACE, and E cell.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is pretty comfortable to live in. It has 24*7 electricity. We are given AC and geyser facility. The mess is nearby and hot food is served three times a day apart from snacks. There are no restrictions of entry timings in the hostel but one has to adhere to given regulations. The rooms are shared between 2 students. We have to change hostels at end of the first year.
