Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is a bit hectic. Like they follow a Trimester model which says that we have end term exams after every 2.5 months. Each course comprises of 100 marks which are divided as follows: 20 marks-Quiz 20 marks-Projects (Group) 20 marks-Class Participation 40 marks-End term exam This distribution may vary in 1-2 courses per semester but in most of the courses it is the same. Managing 3 sems in 8 months is a bit hectic task because of numerous presentations and projects. But when you look back at what you have achieved, it is all worth it. My course is PGDM banking and financial services which literally prepares me for my job as we are asked to make models and do analysis of real time data which will help us on our job.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship opportunities are provided to all the students. It is up to them who convert it or not. Many big companies such as Microsoft, Gartner, Britannia, Nivea, SKF etc etc visit the campus offering stipend of more than 1.5L per month. Around 70-75% of the batch is provided internship by the college. Rest other students opt out and search for internships on their own.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are great but they were a bit harmed during this year because of recession. Many students got their summer internships off campus(so as me). But yes the average package isn't inflated and is genuine. Around 10% of the batch remains unplaced but that's their negligence and the committee is not responsible for them.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees of the course is 1953000 for PGDM students and 2900000 for PGDM Dual country program students. It includes each and everything be it hostel, food, books, notes etc. You don't have to pay a single penny after that (except your personal expenses). Girls are provided a scholarship of 25% under a scheme. And there is tuition fee waiver for students of EWS category.

Campus Life

5

The college is run my clubs and committees only. For each and every operation, there is a committee. For sports, there is sports committee. For running the college hospitality and discipline, there is Student affairs and Welfare council. For case competitions, there is RACE. There are many clubs such as MarkUp- The marketing club, OPS club The Operations Club etc etc. You won't get bored as there will be a continuous spree of events in the college. Each and every committee focuses on all the aspects and helps you grow professionally. The main events are: Chakravyuh -The best sports event among all the B-Schools of India. Passion -The biggest cultural event of our college. Marketing World Cup- The biggest marketing championship of our college. And many more events like this which happens on day to day basis.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel facility inside the campus is great but the biggest drawback is that the students who have filled the forms in the second round are provided the CDL hostel which is 3kms away from the campus. Because of that hostel the students miss a lot of classes and causes grade losses. (Grade losses occur when you have less than 80% attendance in any of the course, your overall GPA would decline by 0.12 if you have a grade loss) The hostels are clean and green with enough spacious rooms. The washrooms are sometimes not clean but they get cleaned once you ask them to. The quality of meals provided in the mess is awful as we constantly find hair and insects in our food. The mess committee is very incompetent. Non veg is provided only on 2 days Wednesday and Friday which tastes like shit.

Admission

I scored 94.36 percentile in CAT and I got a shortlist from IMT Ghaziabad. During my time the admission process was online and we had a WAT (Written test) in which a topic was given to us and we had to write in about 400-500 words in 30 mins. After that we had our Personal Interviews in which your general knowledge and the knowledge of your background is tested. But from this year onwards the process is offline and on your arrival in the College for the process, firstly you have WAT then Group discussion and then Personal Interview which is not that easy to crack. One of my friends who was a corporate worker and used to earn 14LPA and he had interned in DRDO was unable to crack the process.

Faculty

4

1- The teachers are very much qualified and supportive. 2- Most of the teachers are PHD holders and come from a very vast corporate background. 3- The teachers are very professional and the quality of teaching is great as one of our teachers was the Treasurer of the National bank of Oman, one was a great post holder in HSBC internationally. 4- Overall the knowledge which the teachers have helps us a lot during our projects and all. 5- We can visit the teachers in their visiting hours. They are very much approachable and understanding.

Interview Experience

5

I gave a written test in which the topic was very general and situation based. I had to write in abour 400-500 words in 30 mins. At my time the process was online and it was great. I had a personal interview after the written test and it was totally based on general knowledge, my interests and my academic background. The interviewers were very cooperative and understanding. I prepared for these rounds by giving mock interviews to my CAT coaching centre and reading the latest news which was going on at that time. One should have a decent academic background and a percentile of 90+ in CAT to get admission in IMT.

The highest package in MBA is Rs. 4 lakhsPA but this is a myth, usually placements happen below Rs. 10 lakhsLPA.Sales hr marketing researcher profile the offers. 90-95% I started my own startup after getting my degree.

Placement Experience:

Firstly speaking, no college can provide you placement. If you don't have that capability to catch that placement. Yes, majorly most of the students got placement. The highest placement which I have seen from my eyes was eight LPA, which was quite good if we see from starting if a new B is coming and he's got eight LPA, then it's really good, and yes, this college promises you that it will provide you placement, but the only condition is that you should be well-behaved and obey all the rules and regulations of this college. If you don't have that capability, you yourself can't do it. Yes, every year companies like Wipro companies like Amazon company companies like Flipkrt comes in this college and takes many of the students.
