IIT Patna Review

The college has very high standards of teaching and education quality is also very good. The college is quite popular for its placement and placement packages were the main reason for me to choose IIT Patna. I have to complete my admission process through JOSAA counselling after clearing my JEE advance exam I appeared for JOSAA counselling and as soon as I came to know that my score and academic matched the college cutoff standards I immediately opt for the college and secured my seat for IIT Patna.

The curriculum is very diverse and all the engineering concepts are properly cleared and all the basics and fundamentals related to Physical Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Mineral processing, Metallurgical Thermodynamics and Kinetics, Transport Phenomena, Phase Transformations and Heat Treatment, Unit Processes in Extractive Metallurgy, Ferrous Production Technology and many more are properly covered and each concept follows all the industrial regulations./ the faculty of the college is also very experienced and highly qualified. The faculty have completed their PhD degree and research work from the top universities of India and they have really very good industrial experience also.

The college has a very good internship program. The college invites very good companies for internships and around 40+ companies visit our campus for the summer internship program and internships are paid internships. The average stipend for an internship is around 65k.

The college is very popular for placement packages and every year the placement offers increase. The college has a good record of maintaining a 100% placement record. The college's highest placement offer for our batch was around 48 LPA and the average salary offer was 20 LPA, few of my batchmates were lucky enough to receive pre-placement offers. Google, Microsoft, DE Shaw, Amazon, Games Kart, Codenation, etc are such companies that visited our campus during the college placement drive.

The college has very good scholarship programs on merit and needs basis like Merit-cum-Means Scholarships for UG and MSc, Scholarship For Gen/OBC, Scholarship For SC/ST, Scholarship For Top Class Scheme for SC, Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for RPF/RPSF, Post-matric Scholarship for disables and to know about the eligibility you will have to log into the college website or visit the college campus. The college has a very good ROI as the college fee for the B.Tech program is around 6 lakh and the average salary offer is around 20 LPA.

The college is very good and the seniors are quite helpful and friendly. The college building is properly maintained. The classrooms are properly ventilated and the seating arrangement for us is very good and comfortable. The college library is also big and the seating arrangement is properly organised and international journals are also available which help us during our assignments work. The labs are high-ends and we can find all kinds of modern equipment that are very helpful in project activity.

The hostel facilities are very good. The hostel has sports facilities like a basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court etc indoor sports facility is also available like Gymkhana, Indoor Badminton Court, music and dance hall and a yoga room is also available. The hostel mess food quality is good. The rooms have LAN cable connectivity and the hostel is equipped with a WiFi facility too. The wardens and the staff are properly trained. The hostel security is very good.
