Remarks

The admission process was very smooth and everything was through the website for hassle free admission process. The only flaw was that we were not informed of what is the cut-off for each course which made it difficult to understand if we could secure the admission in first or second list. The only suggested improvement would be to publish the cut-off list so that students can look out for other colleges as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I took up BA Economics Political Science and Public Administration because I wanted to see myself as a public service employee. The course curriculum is designed in a comprehensive manner to get an insight into every aspect of the course. The faculty is highly qualified and the teaching methods are very effective. The faculty is always ready to provide reading materials and extra information for any topic a student needs or any guidance in general. The faculty is highly qualified with most of them being PhD holders. The exams are conducted at the end of every semester and are usually very easy to pass as long as there is good attendance for the students. The teaching methods enable a student to easily pass the exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike is not very often and the fee structure is very economical as compared to others private institutions in the city. The scholarships are usually provided for the reserved category and the Christian Minority. For economically weaker students, there is a facility to approach the management and avail any available scholarship or sponsorship, which will be based on the difficulty faced by the student.

Campus Life

5

The best part about St.Francis is the number of events and the student engagement that happens on campus. There are lots of clubs pertaining to each department. Every department also has sub clubs. For example, the Arts department has an Xpressions club which further has FIRE which is the economics club. All the clubs hosts a wide range of events starting from quizzes to mock assemblies. Fests happen almost every month with students from acroas the city participating in them. There ar various social groups as well which look into student welfare. The website for the college is very user friendly and helpful to navigate any aspect of how the college functions. The infrastructure in the class is also good. NSS, NCC and Sports are the extra curriculars offered from the college which is also added as a credit for each semester.

Other Applied Colleges

St.Anns College Mehdipatnam | BA Economics and Political Science

I didn't opt for this college because St.Francis had much more facilities and opportunities.

From the last semester which is the 6th sem, the students are allowed to go for placements. The companies that visited included Deloitte and other companies as such. that visit the college. And the highest package was around 5 lakh per annum. The placements were in full go only for courses like BCOM or BSC Computures, there were no placement opportunities for the course of B.A. There did not take any recruitment take place as such for our course. The percentage of students getting places was very low. The average package was 1 to 2 lakh per annum.
