Remarks

The admission process was merit-based. The score you scored in your class 12th will decide if you will get in or not. The application form is available on the Sams Odisha web portal. Admission happens based on the preferred college and 12th standard marks. Reservation of seats for SC/ST students is there.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course as I very much liked and understood this subject in 11th and 12th classes and wanted to learn more about it. There are a total of 2 professors who teach Physical Chemistry, 2 for Organic and 3 for Inorganic Chemistry. They are all well qualified and effective in teaching their subjects. There are theory-based mid-term (15 marks) and annual exams (60 marks) in each semester. There is a practical exam (25 marks) for each subject I.e., physical, organic, and inorganic which is there in that semester. It is not tough to pass if you read and prepare according to the syllabus.

Fees and Financial Aid

Admission fees are around INR 14k which you have to pay for 1st year. Course fees are INR 30k which you have to pay in the next 2 years. Odisha government higher education department provides scholarships for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC students.

Campus Life

4

Annual functions are the best and happen through 3 days. Freshers and farewell parties are also fun and students themselves prepare for the above two functions. There are several sports and extracurricular activities that happen in this college. The classrooms are good and adequate for the number of students. There is a central library that has the required books but is not present inside the campus situated near the OUAT main office.

Other Applied Colleges

College of Basic Science and Humanities, Bhubaneswar, Odisha | B.Sc (Chemistry)

I opted for this college as it is one of the reputed college in our state and comes under OUAT.

Course Curriculum Overview:

those course curricullams at central university of odisha is thought fully designed ,offering a balanced blend of theoretical depth and practical relevance. on eof the key reason why students opt for such courses like int mathmatiss is the seamless academic progression and strong foundation it provides for research and comprdative exams. that curricullum could be more better as it can be more practical. what we are studing is like 80% theory and just 20% practical. so i do think that could be more better. the quality needs to be improved.
