Remarks

Admission process was smooth. I went to the counselling venue, i.e, Chitkara International School, Chandigarh. There I submitted the admission form after filling in it, my personal details along with scores of 10th, 12th & JEE. After that I submitted fees and the process got completed. One can visit the website to get the admission details & info about fees. One improvement that could be done is they should tell children that, Punjab campus is far better than HP campus in terms of infrastructure, land area, sports activities, food court as well as different co-curricular activities. Instead, we were told that both campuses are equal, there is negligible difference between either of those.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this particular course because I've interest in it from since I was in grade 8th. Faculty : student = 2:7. Teachers' qualification is PHD & their teaching methods are good as well. In exams, Sessional Tests happen approx every month and Term Exams happen every 4-5months, i.e, the end of a semester & it is not much tough to pass them. One could give a day in preparing and still be able to pass the exams.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements in my college are top notch. One get numerous opportunities as 600+ companies visit every year for placement drives. Students become eligible for placements from 6th semester, however, they can apply for offcampus internships from semester 3rd onwards. Highest package might have gone upto 35LPA. Average package goes around 6-7LPA. These are generally offered for the role of SDE profile in companies. 70-80% students get placed until the completion of their degree. I would also like to take placement offer after my degree and work in the industry.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees remains same for all years for a particular batch. Even if in new year, it gets increased for new freshers, it'll remain same(which they paid for the 1st time) for the previous batches. There is no scholarship tests as in other private colleges. Everyone has to give same amount of fees, despite his/her grades in +2 or rank in JEE. Financial assistance is good too. In Covid times, those students who needed concessions due to sudden financial crisis, were taken into notice by the university, and were given the concessions accordingly. Nearly about 70% of waiver was given to the needy students. I'm still applying for the coming companies for internships, the ones which are coming are offering 30k on average as stipend.

Campus Life

3

We had fest named ALGORITHM in around September. After that unfortunately covid happened and everything had to go into sudden halt. In sports, students can play chess, carrom, badminton, table tennis, basketball, volleyball. They could also go further to state and national levels from college. There are many clubs in college that are run by students of higher batches, like, event managing clubs, computer webinar clubs, dance clubs, singing clubs, tamasha clubs, business clubs, etc. I don't think there are any official websites run by students that are linked with college fests/clubs.

Couldn't afford it without scholarship.

Students become eligible from 7th semester for campus placement but you can apply off-campus if you want. A lot of times off-campus placements are of better amount than on campus placements. Almost out of 400 students present in a year, 100 get very good on campus placements.(Almost above 10 lakhs) 100 get between 5-10 lakhs And rest ho for higher degrees although they get a placement of 4-5 lakhs
