A deep insight how I started with my mba life in IMI

The process was smooth. First of all general shortlisting was done on the basis of CAT/GMAT results post that pi was taken by the college itself. Also, a written communication test was done by the college so as to check the communication part and verbal part of the students. The forms are open generally in nov for 1 st phase and are closed by December and again reopens after the CAT results for 2 nd phase for a short duration of 5-7 days in January end.

Want to go with finance as a specialisation and also wanted to work in corporate. So to have a feeling of such exposure I decided to go for the PGDM banking & finance. The faculty students ratio is 1:45 so proper peer to peer learning could be done. The exam pattern is also very well structured as 40 marks are for the end term and others are for the collaborative project work. All faculties have some post doctoral programs in their course field.

To mention all these is tedious but I will say there are numerous companies which came to the campus and you will not regret after choosing the campus as per placement wise and the average stipend is more than 80k for the summers for freshers which is far good and moreover all the companies which visits iim's visit imi also so there is ample number of. Opportunities for the students.

All of the students got placed in 2 months with a 100% placement record and avg. Hike of 15 in highest salary and avg package stood at 11 lakhs. Major dominating profiles were from consulting and its background.

The fee structure is somehow high as compared to other b- schools but I will stay it is still worth it and students can get easy loans from the banks for education purposes at very cheap interest rates.

Due to covid going on our campus is opening in the next month so I have not visited yet but still from the reviews of the seniors, the campus is in a posh area with lush green surroundings and 3 sports arena in the campus itself for recreation. The college also has various clubs and committees for the development of the students sonas to shape them into entrepreneurs.

The topics generally are related to the economy and current affairs for gdpi. The process I have mentioned earlier also is quite smooth from shortlisting then to pi and written ability test and then final selection. The preparation I have done was with the help of my parents and faculties of my undergraduation college.
