IIT Goa Review

B.Tech is the flagship program of IIT Goa. IIT Goa is one of the new members of the IIT family. In a short period of time, the college has gained lots of popularity. IIT Goa is popular for its B.Tech program and faculty. A person like me who is average in studies should not miss an opportunity to be part of such a great institute as during my JOSAA counselling as per my JEE rank and academic performance I was allotted IIT Goa seat.

The curriculum is very interactive and flexible. The curriculum is designed to help us to understand the basics of engineering from beginners level to advance level. The curriculum provides us insight into system design, circuit design, electromagnetic rays, etc. The faculty are experts and they help us to understand the syllabus properly and deeply. The faculty is easily approachable whenever we have any kind of confusion on any topic and they also help us. The faculty of the college is USP they are very cooperative and help us to understand every concept of our topics.

We are eligible for the internship after completing three years of our program. Our complete detail is registered with the college placement committee and they help us to find the company for an internship. The stipends depend according to the company and the stipend ranges from 25000 to 75000.

The college is new but the college placement packages are very good. The college provides placement as per the standards and norms of IIT. The college placement committee plays a very important role during the placement process. As the placement committee work as a guiding force for us and help us to get placed in good companies. Approx more than 75+ companies visit our campus during the placement rounds. The highest package was around 40 LPA and the average package was approx 14 LPA.

Scholarship on a merit basis is available. Financial assistance/aid is also available. The college also provides hostel fee exemption to SC/ST category and the mess facility is also free. Scholarship for family income from 1 lakh to 5 lakh is also available. The college is located at Farmgudi, North Goa. The college campus life is very food and full of creativity. The college has creative clubs where we can enjoy our hobbies like Photography club, designing club, Oratory and literature club, Dramatics club, fine arts club, Dance club, music club, etc. Cultrang is the college technical fest where we get an opportunity to demonstrate our innovative ideas. The college library is full of many bestseller authors books from around the world.

The hostel infrastructure is very well maintained. The rooms are available on sharing basis and rooms are big and spacious. The hostel wardens and the staff is very cooperative and friendly. The hostel mess food quality is just okay the management need to focus on it. 24 hours of power and water supply is available. The common room of the hostel is equipped with chess, table tennis, carrom and LCD TV. The hostel has all kinds of basic and modern facilities according to our needs.
