The eligibility of the course is based on the merit of the students. All students who have passed higher secondary examination or equivalent with more than 60 percentage in PCM subjects and passed KEAM entrance examination are eligible for applying for the course. The selection criteria are based on the merit of the students. 50% of the seats are filled by the CEE through a centralised allotment process and is based on the ranks of the students in the team entrance examination. The remaining 50% of seats are filled by the college management directly considering the merit of the students in the higher secondary examination. Merit quota seats are eligible for reservation benefits as per government reservation policies. But the management quota doesn't provide any such benefits. The application for admission can be filled out directly from the college website. The merit quota applications are filled from the CEE official website.

The college curriculum is designed such that it provides great scientific knowledge to the students. All the faculties in the college are very supportive and caring. They all have high qualifications and most of them completed their post graduate and PhD from NIT and IIT. The teaching method is somewhat textbook oriented however the portions taught are very clear. The end semester examination is conducted at the end of each semester. During each semester the college conducts two internal tests with a time gap of two months. The internal tests are easy and can pass the exam with a basic understanding of the subject. But the university end semester examination is somewhat tough and it is not easy to pass. The overall pass percentage of the college is about 50 %.

Internship opportunities are available for everyone in the college. The college has a dedicated department for providing internship opportunities to student. Students start getting internship opportunities from the third semester itself. The college internship dedicated department work in connection with major companies to provide internships to the students. Major companies providing internships on the campus are Wipro Infosys etc. This internship provides a great opportunity for the students to get industrial knowledge and boost their careers. This will help the students to get jobs easily in reputed companies. So the internship provides a great opportunity for the students. On average more than 80% it students get at least one internship opportunity in the college.

Placement activities in the college begins from the seventh semester and continuous still 8th semester. College provides great opportunities for those seeking jobs. Special placement training are provided in the college for the students. A number of reputed companies including Wipro TCS Infosys Cognizant etc conduct placement activities in the college. The average salary package offered is about 3 LPA the highest package offered was about 15 lpa and was given to a computer science student. Every year the college gets huge number of placement opportunities. More than 50 percentage of students get placement in the college. So considering the placement opportunities this is one of the best college.

The college fee structure is semester based like any other private Engineering college the fees are very high and the approximate cost of the study is about 5 lacs. The college offers different categories of a scholarship schemes for meritorious students. Students who secure more than 95% marks in the higher secondary examination are given a full fee waiver. Based on the merit of the students in the higher secondary examination and KEAM entrance examination. Many more scholarships are available. The college provides a special cell for facilitating educational loans to the students. For the meritorious students, the cost of the study is not very difficult to manage. The campus does not offer any jobs with monetary benefits.

The college is known for the infrastructure it provides. This is one of the best colleges with great infrastructure. The college conducts different events and cultural fest. The college techfest is one of the best tech fests in Kerala. The annual tech fest of the college is conducted during the event semester every year and it provides a great experience to the students. The college has one of the biggest scientific libraries in Asia with all the scientific textbooks. The test books are also available online and are free for students. The classroom is well equipped and well maintained with Hitech facilities. All the classrooms are digitalized The college offers different sports such as basketball cricket football etc. The college conducts annual sports meet every year. There are a large number of clubs working on the campus like the Music club nature club etc. Chapters of different professional societies are also available.
