Remarks

As one of the prestigious govt. institutions, their vision about the department of management studies impressed me and convinced me to choose this institution. As the minimum eligibility criteria, they wanted a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 55%. I applied through an online application and paid an application fee of Rs. 600. They accepted scores of CAT, MAT, and CMAT; in my case, I appeared in the CMAT exam. In the further stages, they conducted group discussions and personal interviews. The final merit score was provided based on scores of CAT, PI, GD, and academic background.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I was always fascinated by the strategic area of marketing and that intrigued me to apply for this course. This was a full-time course with a duration of two years. We had four semesters and in the first two semesters, we read core courses. The core courses help to build us the general managerial skill and knowledge. In the last two semesters, we read elective courses as well as core courses. As part of the courses, we participated in several workshops, live projects, seminars, and did group discussions, case studies, research projects, etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

The training and placement cell at our institute executed the whole placement process in a systematic process. The prominent recruiters who took part in our campus recruitment function were such as Info Edge India, Accenture Pvt Ltd., BYJUs, HSBC, Infosys, Doubtful, Amazon, Invenio Business solution, Cape Gemini Pvt ltd., etc. The highest CTC of Rs. 4 LPA was offered at the time of our final placement program. I did not join any job because I had decided to prepare for the civil service exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

In the first year, I paid around Rs. 94000 as the annual fees. Along with the tuition fees separately I paid a certain amount related to the infrastructural fees and hostel charges. Several scholarship schemes sponsored by govt. were available for us. The name of such schemes was merit cum means based schemes, Prime minister’s merit scholarship, National fellowship, and scholarship, etc.

Campus Life

3.5

From the infrastructural point of view, there were several facilities like a computer center, central workshop, central library, Bank, meditation center, etc. available at our campus Cultural activities are always an exciting part of my life since I am a creative person. That is why I used to be an active member of the ‘Music’ club. The name of our annual cultural fest was ‘Hillffair’.

I would rate the curriculum, the best,in terms of relevance. There is many aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course. It provided me lots of experince and self confidence to achieve my goal. There should be less activity then studying.Free time can be used for the activities. Timing of the exams is good for the all the students even if they are from long distances . They can reach at the proper timing.

Remarks:

Data analyst is one of the modern career options, which is why I determined to pursue this course after graduation. My high school seniors told me about this university since it was one of the best universities in India. Candidates were required to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in their graduation to be eligible to apply. The students were selected on the basis of their ranking on the merit list. The merit list was based on their scores on the entrance examination (CAT, GMAT, MAT, SAT, or State entrance exams), the group discussion, and the personal interview.
