Entrance Preview

Entrance Exam Conducted by Delhi University. I only remember that I got 12th rank out of 13 seats available for general category. I selected this college because it had a very good reputation, the course was affiliated to DU and it was a government organisation.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum was very vigorous. The qualifying marks for each subject was 50%. Overall the curriculum was very comprehensive. We used to have 8 subjects and 2 practicals each year. All of the subjects were interesting but tough as well and all of them required fairly good commitment to pass that including the practicals.

Internships Opportunities

College internship was an extremely learning experience. We worked in groups of 4-5 students for a period of 2-2 months each in very reputed organizations like Ottobock, AIIMS etc. We were given a stipend of Rs 3000 per month.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement was 100%. The following companies came :Otto bock Endolite Total, Boyner, Tynor On an average they offered Rs 20000 per month.

College Events

2.5

We used to celebrate majorly the following events:Fresher's PartyFarewell Party. Nearly about 200 people participated each year. During both of these parties we used to have dance performances and cultural dance performances. Also included was drama and acts or solo performance by various students. We also used to give titles to ea h of our passing out seniors.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was very much feasible. We used to have an average annual fee of Rs 10000 per year. My first year fee was Rs 12800 which included a refundable security deposit of Rs 3000. The remaining four years we paid Rs 9500 each year.

Fees and Financial Aid

In my memory there is no such facility coming to my mind. But the fee structure was quite nominal and most of the individuals were able to afford. For SC/ST the fee was 50% of what general category candidates were needed to pay.

Campus Life

3

Campus life was cool. I remember there used to be cricket matches between our college and some of the other medical colleges like UCMS. And that was very exciting. During my time the gender ratio was dominated by females.

Exam Structure

We used to have internal assessment worth 60 marks and external assessment worth 40 marks. Internal assessment included class tests, practicals and projects. External assessment included end term exam.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college was very good ( majority of them). The guest faculty was also very good. Our anatomy and physiology classes were scheduled in MAMC where the manority of the faculty memners were very good. And our engineering subjects were taught in NSIT where also most of the teachers were very good.

Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.
