Remarks

There is an entrance test for admission to the college. The student should have biology physics and chemistry as subjects in 12th. The minimum mark required to give an exam is around 60%. The admission process was simple. Go to the address they inform you about and take all your documents and demand draft for fees and they call you rankwise and ask you if you want BPT, BPO or BOT. All these courses have 50 seats.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Faculty members generally always take class in first year and they call docters who are external faculty. From the second year onwards classes are not that regular as the staff is internal faculty and they also work in the department as therapists there are time clashes for teachers who are also therapists. Exams are held yearly and throughout the year we have to give assignments that are given months apart. Near the end of year exams, internal exams are held and then the final exams. It's easy to pass if the student goes through the previous year question papers.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internships start from the third year onwards and students are sent to hospitals which include government and private hospitals like Safdarjung, RML, in college department, Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital etc. 4th year to have an internship of 2-4 months. Then there is an internship of 6 months which is paid for by the college and students have to go Monday to Saturday 9 to 5 to see patients in different hospitals.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are around 50000 in the first year but 25000 in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and internship year. I don't have much information about scholarships and financial aid that much. The students can visit the site of the college and search the information regarding this there.

Campus Life

2

No fests take place in this college. There are just three functions which are freshers, farewell and Saraswati pooja. The library is very nice and vast, it has AC and all the books required for medicine and physiotherapy. The classroom is neat and has a capacity of 100 students. Rooms have AC (about 3) and lighting is good. They are well constructed and have big windows, projectors and boards. Sports competition takes place around freshers but the campus does that have enough space for ground, it has a small basketball practice areas and a badminton area. There are no official social groups and clubs of students though recently a group for expressing art was made unofficially by students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum initially provides all the theoretical and practical knowledge side by side. As in first year classes are held in University college of medical science so practical we got demonstration of human anatomy on cadavers . And the subsequent 2nd, 3rd and 4th year classes are held in Amar Jyoti as the syllabus of these years provide you proper insights of your field Side by side in 3rd and 4th year we do clinical postings in different hospitals and in Amar Jyoti where we see real world applications i.e. hands on patients under the guidance of senior physiotherapist who are our professors also. First year is quite tough compare with other years as overall syllabus is just same as of MBBS . Areas of improvement - should be in syllabus I think as in first year we were somewhat clueless about our real role in PT as there were no PT specific subjects .

Student's become eligible from 4th year only for the campus placements. It's not the companies or the hospitals that visits for placement it's the NGO's and all that comes and provide basic salaries to students. Highest packages can go upto - 1200000 per annum or average to 400000 per annum. 70-80% students get's placements and other starts there home visits or own clinic. My plans is to work for 2 year in any hospital in india and then move to dubai for future opportunities.
