Course Curriculum Overview
If we talk about the curriculum of the course, it's quite simple to be honest in 1st year they'll teach you about anatomy and physiology mainly with all the pharmacology, biomechanics, microbiology and pathology being the side subjects. Then in seconds year they'll teach you about biomechanics, orthopaedics, psychology Then with 3rd year starts postings and classes at the same time they'll give you patients and tell u to assist them and treat them by being on your side. Then in 4th year you'll be able to treat patients or your own and do a quite good rehabilitation.
Internships Opportunities
These are the main roles that come in placements. Internship stipend is 8000-12000 per month and the internship periods is of 6 months. For internships, no companies comes but the college itself sends students to hospitals like Maulana Azad Medical College or aiims delhi or gb pant or lok kanyan, etc.
Placement Experience
Student's become eligible from 4th year only for the campus placements. It's not the companies or the hospitals that visits for placement it's the NGO's and all that comes and provide basic salaries to students. Highest packages can go upto - 1200000 per annum or average to 400000 per annum. 70-80% students get's placements and other starts there home visits or own clinic. My plans is to work for 2 year in any hospital in india and then move to dubai for future opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees for first years are always quite high but I'll write below for every year 1st year - 55000 2nd year - 33000 3rd year - 32000 4th year - 28000 Internship - 18000 That is the basic fees structure of this college though you will get a stipend of 8-12 thousand per month in internship, but 18 thousand is the fee that one has to pay for entering in internship. For general and OBC there's no scholarship.
Campus Life
Clubs and campus life experience has been terribly bad for me in this College. There's no clubs no sports day no portals and no social groups; even the only festivals that are being celebrated in the college is just Sarasvati pujan in February Fairwell in June or july Freshers in November or December In short extracurricular activities is not good at all in this college.
Admission
Eligibility is just pcb in 12th with 50% above marks. And the application form, fees and dates are all available on the PDUNIPPD official website. Exam is held once every year by the name CET( common entrance test). Exam is a multiple choice questions-based exam in which there's no negative marking and apart from physics chemistry and biology, 20 questions of general knowledge also come in the exam. They're basically just current affairs.
Faculty
Faculty members are very much qualified and skilled, they're all masters in their personal subjects and skills, and they're all so easy to approach because they're always in the ground floor opd rooms and therapy rooms. I'd say for 1st 3rd and 4th year the faculties are great because first year faculties do not handle patients and in 3rd and 4th the students are also in OPD so they're all busy with the faculty members, but in 2nd year there's a clash of teaching vs practising in the faculty members.
Other Applied Colleges
Jamia Millia Islamia University-[JMI] | Bachelor of Physiotherapy [BPT]
I didn't opt for this college because of the internship opportunities my current college gives me is much more then jamia milia and the distance is also comparatively less from my home to my current college.
