Remarks

College was producing rank students our batch had 3 ranks one in CS and two in civil engg.

CET engg 1995 exam was held at state level for all state engg common entrance for engg, dental and medical.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was in electrical engg college in karnatak university curriculum was well set we have 4 electives in final year and project work was given sufficient time.

Internships Opportunities

Internship was not not available during those times but now may be available, few nearby companies are offering for our college like RN shetty, companies in karwar area.

Placement Experience

We had few software companies placements and few electrical companies also interviewed only 5% of students are got campus opportunity.

College Events

College sports, extracurricular activities are good,and student initiated annual day events are also well managed. Also students are encouraged to participate in university sports.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are as per university structure no excess fees and hostel and room expenses also minimum and affordable. Bus facility was paid as per minimum charges and found to be.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility was available from local bank, I have not opted for it this facility with reduced interest rate was offered.

Campus Life

Labs are good with all required instruments and equipment. Also large space is provided for lab work. Good to work in labs always we loved to work in labs. Computer lab also was with enough computers.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is having all student accommodation with moderate facility hostel campus was big and discipline is maintained. Good environment for study shared accommodation for first 3 years. Final year a individual accommodation provided for bright students mess was having Veg and Non veg facility and of good quality.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumin network was established long back and college was 15 years old when we joined now it is around 30 years old definitely more alumin network an more people have part of college.

Exam Structure

Semister Examination and Internal marks are purely based on attendence and two tests conduted during each semister period.

Faculty

Faculty was average, few of them are experts 50% of staff are having more than 10 years of exp and remaining are master degree holders with little experience.

Placement Experience:

Amazon, Deloitte, Oracle and many tech companies like them are in agreement with our college for placements. Our college has a great placements opportunities as even after so many CSE students, 70% students every year gets placed with packages as high as 30 lakhs even.

Placement Experience:

students can be eligible for placements from 3rd year only, many companies have visited the college like TATA,Accenture and many other.The highest package for this year is about 19 lakhs , average package is about 3 lakhs,talking about the percentage our college has 77% of the college placements, i am planning to pursue higher education after my graduation

Placement Experience:

We enter the placement at the end of 3rd year almost at 4th year(6th to 7th semester). The placement cell organizes various traning program, including mock interviews, group discussions, and communication skills workshops. Past 3 to 4 years more than 10 companies per year offered hiring 100+ students. But over the year the companies have come down and providing les opportunities. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, etc recruite students from this college. The highest package is 25LPA and the average package is around 6LPA. Due to the increase in the rate of admission, the percentage has been decresed. Almost 25 out of 100 students are getting placed in this college. After getting degree, I will try my level best to get placed in campus itself. If not, I am interested more in Competitive exams, I will focus on it.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th and 7th semester students are eligible gor campus placements. Students are asked to apply for the campus placements from the career development department of the college according to the marks. Some companies visited are like jspider, qspider, Xworkz, kodnest, Infosys, 3 q sutantra, toyota, triveni,idea infinity,edgeverve, eton ,dfm technology, tata elaxi, enventure and many more. And highest package in 8 to 12 LPA. The students are placed according to the companies requiments min 20 students are placed outof 50 students My plan is to get a good, high paying job after completing my graduation.

The Pros and Cons of being a student at MIT Manipal

Placement Experience:

From the7th sem onwards campus placements are put in place for btech students. Many companies such as microsoft, google, BMW, mercedes, accenture and others look for students here. The top 100 of each branch get the highest packages with the average of that being 22lpa for the cce branch. The rest of the students that are placed have an average salary of 14 lpa. Almost all the students are placed with the placement rate being around 90% for my branch. I plan on working for 2 years after getting placed and then pursuing an MBa degree abroad to further my tenure as a valuable asset to whatever company takes me under their wing.

Ok choice for Localites

Life with Untapped Potential

Admission is quite simple. All I had to do was appear for the CET exam and await my results. I could have applied through the management quota. When I discussed this with the then General Secretary, he suggested I go through counselling. My rank was enough to get me through. I recall there were seats reserved for SC/ST, OBC, etc. In fact, even in the library, there were shelves reserved only for them. They were locked all the year unless a student from the reserved quota needed any textbooks which were locked on those shelves. Books on those shelves were not accessible to the general population. The campus is very humungous. Football ground and basketball court for students. Large buildings for dorms and food were its best part. Infrastructure has improved over the years. Students have access to WiFi, usage of which is monitored by administrators. Campus placement isn't its strongest suit. But placement officer keeps ensures his network passes the information of any ongoing campus recruitments to him....Read More
