Remarks
I have first appeared for the Jee main examination in 2020. But after not receiving a decent rank I took a drop for one year and again gave the exam in 2021 and secured AIR 61825. After that, I participated in the HSTES counseling on their site. The application fee was Rs 500. From there I have got Mechanical engineering. Then I applied for physical counseling at the site of JC Bose University for a fee of Rs.1050 and in the physical round got admission in the electronics and computer engineering branch under the Haryana general category in the month of November 2021 Most of the admission process was smooth. Just the time for physical counseling could have been better.
Course Curriculum Overview
I took the electronics and computer engineering branch at JC Bose University of Science and Technology. I took this branch over electronics and communication engineering because this course has all the computer subjects that help in placement like DSA,OS,DBMS etc. The faculty: student ratio is 1:70 i.e 1 teacher for every 70 students. Most of the faculties are P.hd. scholars while others are pursuing their P.hd. or M.tech.The teaching method was not satisfactory in online mode but after the recent opening of colleges in offline method, teaching has been good. The exams are yet to happen but the class tests have been decent.
Placement Experience
The college placements are decent, to be honest. Yes, they are not top-notch as IITs but still are good. And when u consider the fee the return of investment is very nice Some good companies like Amazon, Samsung, Accenture, and Adobe(with a special program for girls) provide placement over Rs.10L, and these companies along with many other companies provide good internship opportunities The placement percentage depends on a branch to branch. But yes overall placement is decent
Fees and Financial Aid
One of the biggest benefits of this university is its fee structure. The return of investment is considering less fee and decent placements. The fee hike is not too much in college. There are good scholarship opportunities by the government. Yes not too much but that is understandable considering fewer college fees. As a first-year student who has not participated in placement and internships but being a college student myself and talking with seniors can tell you that with every year the placements are getting better every year and would get only better.
Campus Life
The thing that JC Bose University of Science and Technology lacks is campus infrastructure. Being located in a sophisticated city area the campus is very small and at the same time old as well. Even in B.tech, there are no hostel facilities for boys after 1 year but for girls, there are hostels for all 4 years. However, the condition of hostels is bad for both boys and girls. Coming to fests the university organizes both technical and cultural fests which are decent. The library is also good with an ample amount of books and journals. Sports facilities are okayish. The one more advantageous thing about college is its club culture. The club culture is prominent in university. There are a lot of technical and cultural clubs in college which are quite active and organize a lot of events.
