Remarks

Being at the University campus after four years of passing out was an amazing experience, with both nostalgia and excitement playing its part. Having interacted with the students of the upcoming batches, I am sure that our university is up for a lot more of corporate recognition and accolades in times to come, these are the words of Asheesh Kaushik an alumni of Chitkara University of 2008-2012 Batch.

Course Curriculum Overview

We had Trimester System, according to which every 3 months we have to face Final & in between Quizes, MidTerm Evaluation and CGPA System.

Placement Experience

Since Inception, Chitkara University Has A Path Breaking Recruitment Record For Graduates From Various Academic Programs. We were offed comprehensive opportunities to occupy ourselves with questions around our career planning right from the beginning of our studies. Some of the prominent recruiters on campus were, Infosys -3.25l, Wipro- 3.25l, HCL-3.25L, Igate oracle.

Exam Structure

CGPA based trimester system every 3 months exams were conducted and each subject was Graded (A, b,C,D,E) and in between we had mid terms and quizzes.

Specialized in their Departments, very supportive, interactive the academic staff comprised experienced faculty from diverse fields. The high calibre of the staff comes across through the composition of the faculty consisting of professionally qualified individuals. The college extracts several visiting faculties from the industry, thus incorporating their practical experience into teaching.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

I applied for BML Munjal University before Chitkara university, Baddi. I got a confirmed admission from many colleges like BML munjal university, GNA university, Chandigarh university, etc. I chose this college over other because it was not too costly and crowd is less compared to other private universities. I was not rejected by any colleges which i applied. For admission you have to fill registration form after that you have to attend the councelling.
