Remarks

The eligibility for taking admission into BITS is 10+2. One needs to give BITSAT examination. Then the marks are suddenly flashed as soon as you finish the test. The application fee is around 3500 and the dates are available on the official website. The test is out of 450 marks. And the cutoff for Computer science is 375+ and for other branches, it varies acc to the paper difficulty.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was personally interested in CIVIL engineering. This was the reason for choosing this branch. All the courses are taught by highly qualified professors. Mostly completed the Ph.D. The faculty-to-student ratio is pretty good. Generally, 95% of students pass the exam, those who do not pass are generally those who have missed major evaluation components.

Internships Opportunities

In BITS we have to complete 2 internships before we get the degree. Majorly known as PS or Practice School. In PS1 we have to pay 45k, but for PS2 one can easily get a good stipend. PS1 should be done after 2-2 and PS2 during 4-1 or 4-2.

Placement Experience

Bits has one of the best placements in India. The highest package offered is as high as 1 cr. Generally, Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Accenture, Apple visit the campus during placements. The av package is too good.

Fees and Financial Aid

One of the major drawbacks of BITS is the fees. 6 lakh per year is difficult for the majority of families. But still, it's worth it as the average package for civil engineering is around 10 lakh. Students can also avail themselves of the merit cum need a scholarship or can get loans easily with good interest rates.

Campus Life

Bits Pilani has one of the best campus life. There are 3 fests every year. There are more than 30 clubs, associations, departments, and many more. One can easily find their liking and join one. We have fully air conditioning lecture rooms. The library is one of the major attractions bites has with over 100000 books. 2 huge grounds, more than 15 eateries inside the campus.

Hostel Facilities

Pilani is famous for its extreme weather. But the rooms are too good to face all the extremities. Having 24*7 water supply. The hostels are allotted on the pref you have. Wings can be formed. The mess food is too good.

Placement Experience:

In our college the students are elgible to sit in campus placement from third year , there comes a lot of companies in our college which comes here for placement drive and some for providing internship .Some of the companies that comes in our college are L&T, Deloitte , Capegemini, Reliance , TCS , TCE, Wipro, Infosys, miniorange, Berger paints ,Amazon etc . The highest package from this college is of 44 LPA which was from CSE branch and given by Amazon and the average package ranges around 6.5 LPA for almost every branch . Every year almost 80 percent of students get placed around here and some of them leaves placement for further studies and also some took admission in many premier institutes for getting higher education.

From fourth year the students become eligible for campus placements And before that you have to go for outside placements by students himself only companies visited like Microsoft Zomato and all no Google and number of companies are not very good only mass recruiters are there like three L package tcs and old highest package is around 53 lakhs by Microsoft last year in 2023 and 4 academic year percentage of getting placements is like around you can say out of 100 4040 will get placement Every package is around 5 according to the chorus but I know it is around 3 lpa In reality I am pre paying for gate exam right now let us see what happened

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The exposure given for finance and Entreprenurship in BITS Pilani is well over what an average engineering college might provide you . They offer a minor option using which one can sit in finance placements with companies like UBS Deutsche Bank , Jane Street and many more .The admission process for BITS includes the BITSAT exam which is an MCQ based exam . I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey.
