Remarks
NIT Rourkela is a good university for an MBA program. With a CAT score of 90%, I got in one of India's best institutes with excellent placements and learning environments. The application process is simple: fill out the form with your CAT result, and if you are shortlisted, you will be invited to a GD round and a final interview.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is 2 years long and has four semesters involved. It is well structured for students and gives a nice exploring in the field of business administration. I'll just say they weren't professors; they were more like mentors and advisers. Faculty, there will urge you to do research, publish papers, and so on.
Placement Experience
The placements by the institute were also pretty nice. Firms such as CIL (Coal India Limited), TCS, DTDS India Pvt Ltd, and others received 100 percent placement. Starting at 6-7 LPA, the greatest package provided was 14 LPA. And at the most of 70-80% of the students got placed from my batch.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure can be a little high for some individuals. The fee structure for the first year was 2.82 Lakhs. However, I submitted the whole fee structure in one go, the college did provide installment few submissions as well. About the scholarships, I am not much aware considering I did not take any.
Campus Life
To be honest, the campus life was actually the real beauty of the institute apart from the excellent course structure. A big green high-tech campus with hostels, students from all across India and outside, classy floodlight playgrounds for every sport I can think of, a world-class swimming pool, and so on is incredible. It's a no-ragging campus with practically every ethnicity, religion, and gender represented, and all types of extracurricular activities take place throughout the year.
