Remarks

I gave NEET entrance to get admission in my college. After getting my result I enrolled myself on the dmer/mahacet website and after a month online selection list was released in which I was allotted HBT medical college. I got seat through the open category.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

In my college, every batch has 150 students which now has been increased to 200 and we have more than 5 teachers for every subject. We have overall 19subjects and 9semesters. Teaching in my college is of great quality. Teachers are very well qualified and experienced.

Internships Opportunities

4

We are supposed to do an internship in the hospital tied up with our college for one year. In Maharashtra, they give around 12k/month as a stipend. The Internship at Cooper can get heavy as it is a bmc run college and sees high patient inflow.

Placement Experience

4

After passing the final MBBS, we have to work as an intern in our hospital for one year. After the internship, we can work as medical officers in a hospital of our choice for the completion of the rural bond. After my mbbs, I plan to give NEET-PG and work as a resident.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it is a government college fees are very reasonable and extremely less as compared to private medical colleges. Annual fees are around 80-90k including library fees, developmental fees, etc. Hostel fees are taken separately. Our college offers scholarships for students with family income less than 8lakhs through the Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Scheme which refunds half of the annual fees to the students.

Campus Life

3.5

One main library and two reading rooms are present. All the rooms are air-conditioned and well ventilated. The college conducts one annual cultural fest called arunodaya and one academic fest called curiosity. There is a student committee that is responsible for organizing these fests, quizzes, and other activities like sports, cultural activities, etc

Curriculum is quite hectic but interesting as well. Even if it's boring, it's important to study for the benefit of common people. Moreover, there are a total of nineteen subjects that you have to study in your complete MBBS.

The course is standard for all MBBS courses. There are theory lectures and practical classes. Hospital exposure begins in the second year onwards. Current revisions in the course like introduction of logbook etc are unnecessary and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is definately a tough course. along with being tough, it also puts some responsibilities on your shoulders as you will be treating real people with real problems in the real world as you complete this course. while studying, students should focus more on 'why' and 'how' type questions than 'what' type of questions. the major exams are conducted in 9 semesters . each semester is of 6 months + 1 year of compulsary internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The current curriculum is comprehensive based curriculum. Here practical knowledge is more important than bookish knowledge. So now spending more time in wards is of greater importance. Exams are held accordingly - 2 internals, 1 prilims and 1 University held by MUHS. Each exam is followed by practical examination. This curriculum will help to build good doctors rather than bookish doctors.
