MBBS is definately a tough course. along with being tough, it also puts some responsibilities on your shoulders as you will be treating real people with real problems in the real world as you complete this course. while studying, students should focus more on 'why' and 'how' type questions than 'what' type of questions. the major exams are conducted in 9 semesters . each semester is of 6 months + 1 year of compulsary internship.

Admission

i applied for colleges from mumbai, pune, and nagpur along with miraj. main reason for these cities was that these are big cities. miraj is near a big city that is Sangli. i was not allorted any college from pune, mumbai or nagpur because i couldn't clear the cutoff marks required in NEET for those colleges. so i was allorted GMC Miraj. but i am glad i got a well reputed college. admission process is very simple. you have to arrange and submit the documents along with the admission form in the college. these documents are verified in front of you then and there within a few minutes and your admission is done.

Faculty

5

academically it is one of the finest colleges. the faculty is experienced . som of them are passouts of this same college . they will help you solve all your problems. thers are latest tech machinery present and new modern tech is also going to be introduced soon. there is a skill lab in this college. very few colleges in maharashtra have skill labs . students can practice and peform all the skills required on the mannnequin before actually peforming it on a real person. there are 8 cadavers. so there is one cadaver for 25 students. the teaching follows the new CBME curriculum of 2024.

5

the nightlife is college is always fun. everyone gathers in a room and thers is a lot of talking, or we watch movies. the hostel gates are closed at 10 pm. but on sundays , since the mess is closed for dinner, students are allowed to go out for a little longer. there is a cafeteria within the campus very close to the hostel too. there are many famous restaurants near the college and at walkind distances. many cafes and other famous fastfood chains are availabe near the college. students are allowed to go to the roof top of the hostel. afte dinner if you want to go for a little walk you can tell the guard and go . library is right in front of the hostel. gym is available. students can go to turfs also .

The course is standard for all MBBS courses. There are theory lectures and practical classes. Hospital exposure begins in the second year onwards. Current revisions in the course like introduction of logbook etc are unnecessary and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The current curriculum is comprehensive based curriculum. Here practical knowledge is more important than bookish knowledge. So now spending more time in wards is of greater importance. Exams are held accordingly - 2 internals, 1 prilims and 1 University held by MUHS. Each exam is followed by practical examination. This curriculum will help to build good doctors rather than bookish doctors.
