IIT Ropar Review

I opted for IIT Ropar because firstly it is an IIT the college has good placement standards, the faculty of the college is popular for its research activity, and the college education standards are very good. To choose the college according to my requirement and preference I have to work really hard to clear the GATE exam and to meet the cutoff criteria of the college as I was also able to secure a minimum of 60% marks in my bachelor's degree. After clearing the GATE exam I have to register for COAP counselling. IIT Ropar has also collaborated with national and international universities like Cardiff University, Binghamton University, IUST, Missouri University of Science and Technology, etc. for students training and exchange programs.

The curriculum of the college is according to international standards. The college provides us with good opportunities for research work and project activity. The curriculum not only focuses on academic development but focuses on our overall personality development. The curriculum helps us to understand the importance of coding in the modern technological world.

We are eligible for the internship after the completion of 1 st year of our program. The college placement committee helps us to choose the companies according to our interests. Around 40+ companies visited the campus for the internship programs. The stipends range from Rs. 20000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/-.

The college provides good placement for CSE. The college has a 100% placement record. The college committee is very hardworking and helpful they guide us throughout the placement rounds and make sure that we are placed according to our interests. The highest package offer for our batch went up to 30 LPA and the average package was around 15.85 LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Zomato, Arista Networks, Code Nation, Linux World Informatics, NASDAQ, Linkbal Japan, National Chiao Tung University Taiwan, Tesco, Yokogawa Electric Corporation Japan, etc visited our campus during the college placement drive.

The college campus life is very peaceful. The college organises the fests like ADVITIYA is the college technical fest where we get the opportunity to show our project work and our innovative ideas in the field of technology, ZEITGEIST is the college cultural fest and AAROHAN is the college sports fest. The college library is equipped with many academics and non-academics books around the world. We can also get the international research journals from the library. The classrooms are well maintained and properly ventilated. The laboratories are equipped with all types of modern tools and equipment for our project and research activity.

The hostel is well maintained. The rooms are big and spacious and the rooms of the hostel are available on a double sharing basis. The rooms are cleaned on daily basis. The mess food is tasty and the menu of the college is decided by the hotel management committee. The hostel management committee comprises the representatives chosen by us. The hostel complex also has shops from where we can buy things according to our needs and the laundry facility is also available in the hostel. At this price point of Rs. 12000/- the hostel is really worth it.

The faculty of the college is of PhD level. All the faculty of the college have research work experience in their respective field and their research work is also published in international journals. The faculty is very helpful and we can easily approach the faculty to clear our doubts.
