My college experience

Simply faculty needs to be improved basic facilities need a lot of improvement. Most of the thrust should be given on placement internship. In short the college performance is below average a needs a hell lot of improvement.

Common entrance test 2009 my score was 154 out of 220 my passion to become an engineer made me to opt for this course. Since in jammu and kashmir we don't have so many choices left to opt for different colleges, I simply applied for this college keeping in view my expenses, personal reasons etc.

I would rate it 4/10 taking faculty, accommodation, internships, placements in view. You would need to study a lot by yourself faculty would give you assignments and you need to do it no matter what they teach they would always give you the tough topics as assignments.

No internships no company came there and no internship was awarded not only to me but to anY student simply you can't get any internship in this college.

I remember only one company coming to our college during my time and it was WIPRO that placed almost 4 students with a package of around 1.5 lac per annum.

No technical festivals during my college time one cultural festival with almost 2000 participants that program was a success apart from that nothing else.

Fee structure 38000 tuition fee for a year 2000/month hostel fee 3000 year exam fee for students belonging to middle class, fee is not feasible for elite classes, simply payable.

Yes i got a scholarship OF Rs 25000/year through MOMA for all the four years no scholarships are given by the college on its own behalf.

Campus life is awesome in terms of enjoying not studying probably 40:60 girls:boys. Not that many hostel parties if any that would be arranged by some group of friends not all the students of the hostel. The religious tolerance is very much nice politics, sexual issues least discussed or practised.

Hostel facilities 4/10 mess 7/10 a room was shared by 3 students with a bed and a locker in most of the cases it was only bed no locker electricity not that continuous water facilities average.

My seniors would only know two things ragging and making us feel inferior. In all the cases I have met my seniors the above two qualities were revealed.

Hectic exam schedule weekly class tests two sessionals and one final exam in a semester 20% of the syallbus is given as assignments to students.

Though not all of them were upto the mark in delivering, yet they were to some extent good but honestly speaking the faculty could have been much better but wasn't. We were sort of forced to take classes from them.
