Likes

Infrastructure of the college is good and highly appreciated
Bus service is good and people can go home even living in different districts of kashmir
Some teachers are good educated and they teach very well.

Dislikes

Teaching staff needs improvement and they should complete course on time
Management is not good as they only care about money and take irrelevant fees of different registration
10000 was first told they will give it back but then they didn't.

Course Curriculum Overview

Talking about curriculum..it in no way influenced me to take decision about futher courses ..old traditional system is not good .. Curriculum is out dated needs major update with real world applications and future pursuits. They need more good subjects about communication and mobile communication.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My fee was yearly 37800/ per year and now it has been increased to 48000 or more. Bus fee 10000 per year and it depends on route you take. Average it is 16000-20000 now. During admission 10000/ was taken and is non refundable. Exam fee per semester was 2000-3000. If one gets backlog fee is 850 for one subject. This fee structure is for those who get selected by jkpobee exam. Payment seat cost 10lac in civil engineering only. Other courses don't choose for payment. Scholarship is pmsss and gives maximum upto 25k

Campus Life

Monthly tournament is cricket and some debates. Industrial training are tied and paid . Digital classroom is the necessity and they need to update it. Extra curricular activities are not open to everyone as they have some seniors who control it and don't give everyone a fair chance

Admission

I choosed this College because it was close to my home and at that time it was renoved college at that time. seats are very high and admission is very easy to get in. Some courses like civil is good. No placement training was provided

Faculty

Our class had 70 students and teacher was able to teach everyone with good ability and some teachers were not even audible to back benchers. Hod of our e&C department mr manzoor was very good at teaching and student helping. Mr majid sir was teaching digital communication and was very good and completed syllabus on time . Digital signal mam was also talented and good teacher.

Night Life

No gym but cafeterias are many and good food you will get there. Library is good and gives you 3 books whole semester. Public area is a big park and student enjoy sunny days. Lacima is a cafe that i remember is good.

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Placement Experience:

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Good things is that they offer minor courses for us where we can choose extra courses which we may find interesting and yaa not only that interdepartment projects can also be chosen which is very strange but don't seems relevant.curriculum earlier they were following of iit Delhi and new curriculum is not very exact and relevant because sometimes there are some unnecessary courses and no point of learning that course which forcefully imposed on us to take this course as it comes under institute department courses and are mandatory which is not so good

NIT srinagar : A place signifying Majesty of nature and a ground for academic growth

Placement Experience:

I think the students become eligible for placements after 6 th semester, if you are from CS / IT then you'll get enough opportunities for yourself... I know 8-9 seniors who have grabbed a pretty decent package from companies like Oracle If somehow you fail to get recruited on campus then i guess the off campus option is open for all I am pretty satisfied with the placement record atleast for IT The percentage placement for this year CSE was 51 considering recession part this seems good to me

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Review about Shri mata vaishni devi university

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Garbage college

I choose this colege because i failed in jEe exam and this prompted me to join it. I joined this college because it was local and i would be able to be as day scholar in the college. The admission process was quite difficult and they literally make hinged into the decision to apy admission fee in advance to have a security deposit if otherwise student later leaves the college and joins other institution they would make it look like a penalty and they withhold the priginal docs which you should never show them .
