IIT Bombay Review

My GATE score was between 400 to 500 and I was really happy and fortunate that I could get into some good colleges in India. IIT Bombay was my priority from the beginning and I worked hard in my academics also so that I can make it to IIT Bombay. IIT Bombay is one of the best IITs in India institutes is quite popular for its educational values and standards. IIT Bombay is a member of LAOTSE (Links to Asia by Organizing Traineeship and Student Exchange) is a student exchange program in Asia and USA. IIT Bombay records one of the highest placement packages in India. To be part of IIT Bombay one must clear the GATE exam and must secure a minimum of 60% in B.Tech degree from any recognised institute of India. After clearing the GATE exam candidate must appear for COAP counselling. The admission process is smooth if students have a good academic record and eligible GATE score then you can easily opt for IIT Bombay.

IIT Bombay curriculum is one of the best in comparison to other IITs in India. IIT Bombay is well known for its educational standards. The curriculum is at par and according to the latest international industrial norms and standards. IIT Bombay also promotes start-up ideas.

We are eligible for the internship after completing our first year. The college placement cell helps us during the internship program and guides us to identify companies for internship. If any student who wants to work on its start-up or in any kind of research work can skip the internship after by submitting an application to the placement cell. The stipend for the internship ranges from Rs. 30000/- to Rs. 1,25,000/-. The internship is a good opportunity for us to understand the working culture of the corporate world and use our academic knowledge to enhance our skills.

The college has one of the best placements in India. The placement committee of the college is well aware of the companies and students' requirements and interests and the committee prepare us accordingly. For our batch, the highest placement package went up to 65 LPA and the average placement package was around 17.50 LPA. Few students were very fortunate to receive pre-placement offers. Companies like Uber, Ruberik, Millennium, Black Stone, Barclays, CITI Bank, Delloite, Accenture, EY, PwC, Infosys, Samsung, Amway, Wipro, Loreal, Marico, etc visited our campus for placement drive in the college.

The campus life of the college is very happening and friendly. The college organizes many technical, cultural, and sports events in the college. The fests like Mood Indigo and Techfests of IIT Bombay are some of the biggest fests in Asia. The college is surrounded by greenery and the college infrastructure is well maintained. The library is equipped with lots of academic and non-academic books. The classrooms are big and ventilated.

The hostel rooms are big and spacious and rooms are available on a single sharing basis. The rooms are cleaned regularly. The mess food quality is good and healthy. Proper student hygiene is taken care of. The hostel staff and warden are professional and supportive. The hostel also provides 24 hours of high-speed internet connectivity. The Hostel Coordinating Unit is responsible for managing the hostel activities. The hostel is equipped with all kinds of facilities to keep students safe, secure, and comfortable.

The faculty of the college is excellent. There are around 681 faculty members with 99% of faculty having Ph.D. degrees and corporate world exposure. The student and faculty ratio is 1:15.
