SPJIMR- a dream come true

The application form and the process is available on the SPJIMR website. I applied before my CAT and got a call around the second week of January for the score cum profile-based criteria. I did not avail of any reservation process. The whole interview process was conducted online and was smooth end-to-end.

I chose PGDM in Marketing at SPJIMR as it is one of the best known in the country. There are around 15 faculty and 64 students in the batch of 2021-23. All faculty are doctorates and have considerable industry experience as well. We have 6 trimesters each lasting around 3 months and are of moderate difficulty.

SPJIMR is one of the few colleges that offers Autumn internships instead of Summer. The paid internship is for 2 months and happens after trimester 4. Renowned companies such as HUL, P&G, Nestle, Mondalez, Accenture, and ITC offer internships.

This happens right after Trimester 4 and quite a lot of well-known companies including Accenture, Mahindra, ITC, and P&G visit us for placements. 100% of the students get placed. I plan to appear for placements in a renowned FMCG company as well

The cost to study is around 20L. It is 17L for the regular course and the hostel fees as it is a completely residential campus. There are various scholarships based on merit and means available. The autumn internships and finals placements are also really good and have been 100% for a couple of years now.

The two major fests are Ojas (cultural and management fest) and SPrint (sports fest) conducted in the month of January. The library has a rich collection of books-academics and otherwise. Classrooms are gallery-type and well air-conditioned. Various student-led clubs and committees are available to choose from and would add value to the MBA experience here.

SPJIMR is a residential campus. All rooms are double occupancy and facilities in the room include a microwave oven, study table, study lamp, and refrigerator. Meals are provided by vendors for the Bhavan's group of institutions and taste good. Hostels are very affordable here and worth the price. Cleanliness and hygiene are given utmost importance especially in these pandemic times

Shortlists are released based on profile and profile-cum score by the second week of January. Unlike other colleges, SPJIMR has two rounds of Group interviews after a Written Ability Test (WAT). Preparation was done through organizations like TIME. Being yourself and naturally helps a lot in SPJIMR's interview process.
