Remarks
The admission process went smoothly. To take admission to this college one should clear the MHT-CET exam above the 90 percentile. This year's cutoff for computer science and engineering was around 92 percent but it increases every year. I applied for an EWS reservation, due to which I got some benefits like fee reduction and many more. The cut-off for TFWS for around 94 percentile for MH-CET.
Course Curriculum Overview
Most faculty members are good. They teach from the very basics and go to the advanced. I'm in the computer engineering branch and we have a subject called Data Structures and Algorithms. It's the most difficult, but ma'am simplified it so so that everyone understood everything. Especially math's teachers are exceptionally talented. The course curriculum of this college is based on the SPPU syllabus. The SPPU stands for Savitribai Phule Pune University, one of the most reputed universities in India
Internships Opportunities
The college does provide on-campus internships. TCS, Infosys, and Accenture are the main companies that offer on-campus internships to students. With pay of 15000 per month. The internships generally last 3 months and they provide good learning opportunities for students. They give projects to students to complete before the specified time, and before starting of internship they give specific training to the students who are selected for the internship. The projects which my senior students got included chatbot improvement, their mobile app feature, etc.
Placement Experience
Generally, students sit for the placement at the end of 3rd year. The companies that visit campus include TCS, Accenture, Infosys, etc. The average package offered in the college is 300000. The highest can go up to 12lack. So overall placements are good. TCS gives 5lack per annum and Accenture gives 4.5lack per annum, Which is a decent salary for fresher. The highest package received by college students is 32lack which is offered by a Japanese company. 70 percent of the students get placed on-campus. And most of the remaining get placed off-campus. So college has a good placement percentage. Currently, I want to grab a good internship in my 3rd year and a good placement after 4th year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are just like any other engineering collages. It's around 1lack per annum. But there are certain scholarships for students with economically weaker sections or simply say EWS. I applied to this college through the EWS category. The original fee for this college is 108000, but due to EWS benefits, I paid only 54000. There is a decent on-campus placement in our college. The average package is around 3 lakh. The highest domestic package is 12lakh and international is 32 lakh.
Campus Life
Due to the lockdown, I didn't spend my first year in college, there were online classes. Although I haven't been to college for more than a week due to this pandemic, My experience was great. The college has a playground where students play some sports like Cricket, Hockey, Basketball, etc. The campus is not too large The campus size is around 4 acres. In the library, there are around 30000 books including academics and general. There are many clubs in our college, Including the music club, astronomy club, programming club and many more. I was part of the music and astronomy clubs in college. The club is maintained by faculty members and they show great support. Sometimes principals visit the clubs.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel was one of the best I've ever seen. The hostel provides WIFI with up to 20mbps speed, free for all students. Has a cold water cooler which gives water around 4 degrees Celsius cold. All the things inside the room are well maintained and kept clean. They come to clean our room every Sunday. The hostel has its mess. The mess food is awesome, On Sunday we get only one-time snacks. Rest of the day we get 4 times food, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. The fee for a hostel is 87000 per year. Which is decent in my opinion. There are also PG rooms available just outside the college. Many of my friends live there.
