As I mention before I also applied for mitwpu for mechanical engineering department but the main reason behind choosing the mmcoe college is the fees required at MIT is pretty higher compared to mmcoe and as I consulted with my teachers I got to know that the mmcoe delivers better knowledge with minimal amount of fees. As I came from the Chandrapur district the college I was offered there has not records for placement and teaching that's why I choose to come at Pune. In Pune I search for several colleges such as jspm, sinhagad College of Engineering Pune, MIT, VIT, VIIT but as i consulted with some known ones I got to know about mmcoe which gives you best placement records, best teaching experience . Also the mmcoe is famous for its mechanical department. The mechanical department at mmcoe is one of the best department who has the best placement record at the college. The reason of choosing this college over others is travel time. I live in Karvenagar and my college is also in Karvenagar itself so it is very time saving and energy saving for me. But moreover I think that i didnt just choose it for the sake i also think it didnt hamper my education as this college is not lower in any means.I had the option to choose from colleges like SCOE, MMCOE, and PES Modern. I initially got admitted to Modern College which is in Shivaji Nagar but i choose this over that is because i think they are evenly rated colleges so i took the one which is closer to me. I did apply for other colleges like COEP, PICT, PCCOE, PVG and i couldnt make into them is only because of cutoffs. These are very high cutoff colleges. They are the top rated colleges in Pune. They are better in all aspect compared to my college with huge campus, superior infrastructre, greater and better placement and teaching faculty. Admission process is like any other enginerring college, eligibility criteria is based on percentile of various exam and in some case percentage of 12th board. In my college MHTCET and JEE exams are accepted for my course and MHTCET is the most preferred by students. Cutoff of my college for my course is minimum 91-93 percentile in CET and 80+ percentile in JEE. It is more for Computer Science engineering. I have applied for these colleges - 1.VIIT pune for Mechanical engineering 2.JSPM pune for Mechanical and Entc department. 3. Sinhagad college of engineering for Mechanical and IT department. 4.MMCOE for Mechanical department. Reasons why I choosed MMCOE over these colleges- 1. Curriculum offered by the college is application based and focused on real world application. 2. Faculties at MMCOE are majorly PhD holders and well experienced within their particular subjects. 3.College has best in class placement records for Mechanical Department. 4. There are several clubs related to the Mechanical department which gives students work on real world problems and helps them to solve these problems. Admission process at MMCOE is not much complicated you can take admission with 3 modes such as CAP rounds, Management quota and Spot rounds. But after consulting with some my seniors and known ones I got to know that MMCOE is the famous college in pune for its mechanical department. Then I applied for the MMCOE college and took admission in it. Admission process at MMCOE is manage by the CAP rounds there are also several ways to get admission at MMCOE such as the Management quota. The admission process of CAP rounds is consist of 3 rounds for each round you have to fill the option form where you give your college and department preferences in descending order. As you qualifies for any department cutoff you can take the admission. You have to visit the allotted college within given period of time and confirm your seat at the college with payment of full fees you admission is confirmed....Read More
