Remarks

BITS Hyderabad is best known for its education system and placement record. I have also applied for BITS Hyderabad as I felt that the admission process is simpler as compared to other colleges and the placement record is great. The candidate is selected according to the 10+2 marks and students have to appear for BISAT (BITS Admission Test) and has to pass the test with a minimum 75% of marks. To fill the BITS admission test form one has to visit the official website of BITS and can fill the form by paying Rs 2950/- (Rs 2450/- for female candidates).

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The BITS Hyderabad is a very popular college and the B.Pharma curriculum is a highly structured program of BITS. The curriculum follows the highest standard and the curriculum is divided into 8 modules. In your third year, you can also opt for projects along with your regular course. The B.Pharma curriculum is designed to match the requirements of the Pharmacy Council Of India.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Companies like Toyota, Taj, SBI, Tata Steel, IndiaMart, ITC are the companies that visit the campus during the internship drive. The internship is optional and it depends on the choice of the student whether he/she wants to pursue an internship or want to go for some research work. I was lucky enough to get an internship in CDRI (Central Drug Research Institute) for 5-weeks and receive the stipend of Rs 21000/-.

Placement Experience

4.5

The BITs placement records are awesome and BITS Hyderabad is also not behind. The college placement record is 100%. Top MNC visits the campus for the recruitment process. Companies like Accenture, Apple, Paypal, VFS Global, Oracle, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, TCS visit the campus during the placement drive. The highest package went up to 20 LPA and the average package went up to 13 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college also provides scholarships to merit students. The college also provides financial assistance that ranges from 15% to 100% depending on the eligibility criteria of students. There are two different kinds of scholarship programs one is merit grant/scholarship and fee waiver/concession. To understand more about the scholarship program you can go and visit the official website of the college and you will be able to get all information regarding the eligibility criteria for the scholarship program.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life of the college is very happening. The annual sports meet Arena is one of the best events for sports junkies and Pearl is the annual fest of BITS. The events are organized by the student committee and I was also part of the student committee. The campus has 24 hours high-speed internet facility. the library is one of the attraction points as all types of the book from around the world is available.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The rooms are big and spacious the rooms are available on a single and double sharing basis the plus point is that you get an option to choose your roommate. The rooms are well maintained neat and clean. The food of the mess is of good quality. Most of the time south Indian food is served which is very tasty. The seniors and the hostel staff are very friendly and cooperative.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the college are of Ph.D. level and keep on motivating students not only for academics but to take part in extra-curriculum activities. The faculty is full of young and enthusiastic teachers who motivate students and help them to understand the concepts more easily and simply.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Pharmacy was the best option for Bipc students apart from MBBS. My main aim was MBBS,but unfortunaley i couldn't get it. Retail pharma, industrial, clinical had a huge scope which made me to opt for Bachelor of Pharmacy. Curriculum needs more practical knowledge to prove within the real time market. Improvement was much needed with research based programs as it was the major core area for pharma aspirants. Frequency betwween internal and external exams were too short.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally available for final-year B.Pharmacy students, with eligibility usually starting from the 7th semester. Companies may offer roles in pharmaceutical sales, quality control, production and related fields. Package and number of offers vary each year, so I would not mention unverified figures. The college provides placement support, but students should also focus on internships and skill development. After graduation, I plan to pursue higher studies or seek a suitable opportunity in the pharmaceutical industry.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Pharmaceutical and healthcare companies visit the campus and offer roles in sales, production, quality control, regulatory affairs and clinical research. The highest and average packages vary by company and year, usually depending on the profile offered. A good percentage of eligible students get placed. After completing my B.Pharm, I plan to gain industry experience and pursue higher studies or specialize in a suitable field.
