A Dream Journey at MSU

When I completed my graduation, I had a dream of pursuing MBA to boost my career. Due to my financial crisis MSU was the best option. It is a reputed name and is ranked 80 for MBA by Outlook in 2020. I gave the CMAT exam which is compulsory and to get admission you have to secure above 85 percentile on an average. The placement is also good, thus it is a good pick.

The course is designed to suit the needs of the corporate world. You can get specialization in Marketing, Finance, HR or Operations. There are four semesters and the sessions are passed with internals, assignments, quizzes and semester exams. There is a holistic learning and the professors help us in that purpose. Various case studies are used for better understanding. The semester exams are easy if you keep following the classes regularly.

In the two year MBA program we have to do a Summer Internship Program. Various local and national companies come for internships and the job roles vary according to your domain. If you are capable enough you can get PPOs. Companies such as Apollo Tyres, ICICI Bank, TATA, Tenhard Pvt. Ltd come for internships. The stipend varies from 5000 rupees to 10000 rupees on an average.

Our college has a good placement percentage above 85% and it was growing every year until the pandemic hit us. But the institute has given ample job opportunities during the pandemic as well. The top companies which come for recruitment are Samsung, TCS, Sony, Reliance, Ceat, TATA Motors etc. Most offers are made in the marketing domain. The median salary offered to us is 4.5 LPA while the highest salary was 11 LPA. Thus overall the placement experience is good.

I chose MSU as the fee is negotiable. Each semester costs around 14500 rupees thus the two year program requires 58000 rupees excluding the other charges. The financially weak students get scholarship but the family income should be below 2LPA. MSU gives scholarship to the meritorious students as well.

The campus life is electrified as the academic calendar is filled with many activities. Every activity such as guest lecturing, quizzes, workshops and many extracurricular activates are conducted by MSF which is an inter-college committee. For the four domains in MBA there are four clubs which organizes various other competitions. The facilities in the classroom and the library are good as well. The annual fest YUVANTAS is organized every year. Special attention is given to sports as well.
