Remarks

The college management was helpful and did there utmost to take the college to new heights. The only thing bad is that some students (few) still indulge in the malpractice of ragging. The college has been accredited "A" grade by the NAAC team. It is only due to the untiring efforts of the college management. The college has been hailed as one of the best colleges in the state.

Entrance Preview

I opted for this college because of two reasons Firstly it is close to my residence and hence easily accesible secondly the standard of education is of high class. I was always interested in Science and hence I choose the course. There was an open entry and no entrance test.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It was good though voluminous. I particularly liked the first year curriculum. It was more practical. In the second year environmental science was also a part of the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

A journalism house came to offer us internship course with their daily. They were offering a stipend of 5000 per month for the selectees. As I had developed tremendous writing skills I was offered the internship but I declined just to concentrate on my B.Sc course.

Placement Experience

3

Close to 100 people got placements some companies like USV, Zydus, L&T, wockahardt, Zaara, Arvind international, IBM etc came to the college. They offered different packages.

College Events

4

Annual days, seminars, debates, Birthdays of M.K Gandhi and B.R Ambedkar, Local cultural shows, ladishah etc, Folk music and folk dances. They are a big event with an overwhelming participation of students and teachers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. We had to lay near about 3600 per year. The course was a three year course. So looking at it we get the impression that it is not expensive. Some courses have fee much more but they also demand the same. The fee structure is set by the university. All the colleges affiliated with the university have the same fee structure. The private colleges have a slightly different fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed any scholarship during my course in the college. The college does not offer any loan to its students. It is more or less concerned with academic and extracurricular activities. After completing the prescribed course the students have to fight it out in the job market for their preferred job.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is thrilling the extra curricular activities are good the gender ratio was satisfactory. Hostel parties were conducted under the supervision of the wardens.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Good infact great the rooms were neatly maintained there was a shortage of infrastucture and furnishing though there was a good availability of water and electricity.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students were helpful they guided and motivated us at every step. Once there was an alumini meet and the passouts of our college were well settled. They were nice people with a broad vision.

Exam Structure

The exam structure was good. The exams were not leaving us with a hectic day instead we felt relaxed. The exam structure was utterly flexible. Practicals in the labs were conducted and we all the students liked them.

Faculty

4

The faculty was good. They did not bother to answer our queries even after their work hours. Very qualified staff. There were some contractual lecturers who were helpful and extremely nice.

I have interest in physics so I choose bsc in physics as major subject.. As mathematics is quite related with physics so I choose it as a minor subject.. There are two phases of exams and in these phases there is a lot of time to prepare for the exams.. However teachers method of teaching was quite friendly and soft spoken ..

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.

Remarks:

A Good College Even though the college life seems like a fairy-tale to you, it is not. There are so many things that you have to be careful about when you are visiting a college and checking out its ambience. Don’t get influenced by the clean campuses that most of the colleges have; they purposely do it so that people like you get attracted to their appearance and join their team. If you don’t want to waste your hard earned money on the fees of the wrong college which spoils your fairy-tale dream, you might want to take admission in a college that’s good enough for students like you.
