Remarks

Admissions here was based on NCAT entrance along with academic performance, work experience and performance in the interview to make it to the final merit list. For the application fee, I paid Rs.2100 and submitted my application form through the official website of the university. I got to know about NICMAR through my college teacher, she suggested that it's a great institute. Also, I got to know that it ranks as one of the top 20 schools for it's PGP course, that I was taking admission in.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The program prepared us for undertaking professional responsibilities demanding high proficiency in skills of application of latest technology, people management, project finance, international markets -all with a special reference to infrastructure development and real estate projects. Our curriculum has been reviewed from time to time to incorporate the latest advancements in Construction, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Project(CRIP) industry and to build a strong competence in the diversified area. There were 11 faculty members here, they held important designations of Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors along with those members heading a department in the institute.

Placement Experience

4.5

Almost 123 companies visited the Pune campus for our placement drive of 2020. My batch of 2018-2020 managed to secure 100% placement within 3 months of graduation only. The average package that we were offered was around 6.75 lakhs with a total of 571 offered made by top companies. Some of the top companies that made most placement offers were ITC, ICICI, Principle ACS, Goldman Sachs, KPMG, Tata Steel, Syntel Inc, KEC International, Ashoka Buildcon, Juniper Hotels, KEC International, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

My PGP program at NICMAR cost around 10.60 lakhs in total, which covered the total tuition charges, facility charges along material cost. Also, here we had the option to avail of scholarship programs offered by the government and the university also offers merit and need-based financial assistances.

Campus Life

4.5

Our training here goes beyond the confines of classroom and curriculum. Our institute promoted various events and club activities encompassing diverse areas, i.e. sports, cultural, literary, technical, design, theatre etc. A variety of events, fests and activities were also organized throughout the year which ensured that the extra-curricular segment of our institute is always vibrant and creative. Talking about the infrastructure of my institute, it had all the facilities including well equipped classrooms, Library, Computer Labs, Conference Halls, Auditorium, Student's Hostel, Executive Hostel, Dining Facility, In Door & Out Door Sports, and Internet Facility with 24x7 access.

The placement opportunity is great, but you have to maintain a good grade with zero backlogs. The campus placement cell offers multiple opportunities, but mostly students from the Engineering department got the highest LPA rather than other specialisations.

Placements are good, during our batch it was pretty low because of the recession and other economic parameters. In MBA mostly the companies come for marketing jobs so mostly the jobs offered was sales, but as the college has became university i think every process has been changed and could result in good placement.

1) students become eligible for placements just after they complete their second semester examinations 2) only local companies visited to our colleges such as per Pooja, weblink services etc which were very small scale local organisations offering very poor packages to the students 3) the average package that my batch got was 2.lakhs per annum and the highest was 6 lpa where before admission the college claimed the average packages to be 6lpa and Highest to be above 10lpa 4) the percentage of students getting placed is not more than 10-15% 5)my plans after getting the degree is to look for better companies outside my college because my college hasn't been helpful in terms of placements in any manner .

Remarks:

College is almost good .this for those who want only masters but no placement .if you also want to get placed in any company need only degree ur welcome. The management is worst the nonteaching staff doesn't know how to talk with students especially the admission office. I here declare whatever I have seen and suffered I presented my view about this college to you, not it's your choice to go to heaven like symbiosis or choose hell. I was misguided and helpless so I came here means I got fewer marks in a snap so please students appear for snap sincerely.
