Remarks
Every year NTA conduct NEET-UG for admission into medical College. I got admission through the NEET-UG entrance exam. The Neet exam generates an all India rank for you based on which state merit and all India merit lists are prepared. 85% state quota is applicable to students of Karnataka and 15% quota is applicable to students from other parts of India. Counselling is conducted after neet results to take admission here. As per government rules reservation is given to SC, ST, OBC students.
Course Curriculum Overview
MBBS comprises 19 subjects and is covered over 4.5 years +1 year compulsory internship for which students are paid stipend as well. The exams are conducted by RGUHS annually apart from internal examinations conducted by the various departments in the college. All the faculties are doctors, they are well experienced. They teach us on the projector.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is a government medical College so the overall fee structure is very flexible and affordable. Some students can avail scholarships too depending on the government policies. I do get a scholarship from the ministry of minority affairs. Fees have to be paid for 6 months and exam fees are paid separately at the end of each year when exam applications are filed.
Campus Life
Every Year student union conduct an annual fest and college week. During college week every year, there are intercollege and intracollege events are conducted. They include academic as well as nonacademic events. The academic events include workshops, quizzes, poster presentations and essay writings etc. The nonacademic events include dance, singing, band, racing, sports of every kind etc. Students from various medical colleges attend our fest. Last year MJ5 came to our college. Our college campus is very beautiful. The gender ratio is 2:1.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms in the hostel are very clean. Each room has 3 students and attached bathroom and toilet. They provide beds and cupboard. The food is also good here and includes 2 special foods every week. The hostel rent is 3000 per month. Nearby PG and rented rooms are easily available but very costly so not affordable for all.
