Remarks
At first, the college rolls out its cut-off list like every college which comes under DELHI UNIVERSITY. Whoever has enough marks in their best 4 subjects in their 12th as per the cut-off list are eligible for admission. Anyone can check the cut-off list available on University's website or college website and see the cut-off according to their category if they come under any. One can fill the application form on the university website and pay a nominal fee for the registration. The cut-off list comes with reservations i.e GEN., OBC, SC/ST, PWD so if you come under any of the categories you can take the benefit. Try to go as early as possible to the desired college in which your marks match the cut-off because once the seat will be full then the college will not take any admission further.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had taken B.Com in this college as I was having commerce in my 12th, this college was near my home and also my marks were matching to the cut-off list. The faculty of this college was good enough and all the teachers were highly educated and some of them were very helpful too. The students in each course were divided into different sections as per the population of students of a particular course. In every section, there were approx. 60-70 students. The teaching method of the teachers was good, they used to come on time and gives assignment from time to time. If any student used to have any problem then he/she can visit the staff room to understand anything from what that teacher has taught. The exams were conducted on time and students who have studied in a disciplined manner can pass the exam. The results were also declared timely.
Fees and Financial Aid
According to me, the fees were normal as compared to other colleges and universities. The price was not hiked every year or every semester. Every year the college issues scholarship programs. The eligible students can fill the form and submit it to the college for review. Also, every student of D.U is eligible for DTC Bus concessional pass through which the student can pay a very nominal fee for the pass and can travel anywhere having that pass through DTC Buses. If I share my experience about the placement or internships then the college is very poor in this case as there only a few students were selected and were made a part of placement group in which they themselves need to find the hiring companies and talk to them and invites them to come to college. Teachers only assist them in doing this.
Campus Life
Every year before the final semester the college fest is hosted with different names. The fest used to have some programs and different competitions in which students from other colleges can also take part and win cash prizes. The library is very good as the student can issue their course's book from there and the student can read daily newspaper available in both Hindi and English languages present at the gate of the library. There are also many other books related to the courses and many novels are present. The classrooms are huge enough for 80-90 students. Classrooms are ventilated enough and have fans. Few classrooms also have projector facilities. The college's sports ground is very large enough as the students can play football, cricket, volleyball, hockey. Few seminars are conducted every year for each course from the college. And every course has its own societies run by the students whose work was to conduct extra curricular activities.
