AIIMS, New Delhi is the first institute established by the Central Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The institute has collaborated with various foreign universities for joint research. So, students show interest in this institute.
Course Curriculum Overview
MHA gives the students chance for preparing a successful career in healthcare administration. Course work deals with the subjects like healthcare quality management, marketing management, business communication etc. In the first semester, medical terminology and human physiology, the economics of healthcare, organization and management etc are taught. Semester 2 has subjects like marketing of hospital services, decision making accounting, commercial management etc. Semester 3 &4 covers the subjects like management of hospital operations, disaster and risk management, patient care and behaviour etc. Hospital visit is the practical course of the curriculum.
Placement Experience
AIIMS, New Delhi gives internship offers for every student in UG, PG level. Senior students of post graduation get Rs 64,000 as internship and PhD students get Rs 74,000 per month for 3 years tenure.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The tuition fee is taken as Rs 700 each year. Other fees are extra Rs 100 in the first year than 2nd year. In the second year, it is Rs 840. The registration fee is Rs 25 at one time.
Fees and Financial Aid
AIIMS offers merit cum need based scholarships for financial support to the UG students of the university. They also get a stipend from their practising academy. Nursing and MBBS students also get scholarships.
Campus Life
There are well equipped laboratories with diagnostic audiometry services. The library contains more than 61,000 books, 53,000 journals and 14,000 reports. Sports complex gives the facility of indoor and outdoor sports.
Hostel Facilities
There are hostel facilities with modern amenities like a TV room, playground, swimming pools, gymnasium, beauty parlours etc. The hostel fee is around Rs 2,000 - 10,000 per year.
Admission
Graduation in any relevant stream from the recognized university is the main eligibility criteria for the course. Selection is merit based.
