Remarks
The application process was pretty simple, one has to apply online for admission, it was based on the jee mains ranking. As some seats remain vacant in online counseling, there is physical counseling also for those seats. The improvement that I think is there should be a proper announcement about physical counseling so that it can help a large group of students.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have enrolled for a bachelor's course in mechanical engineering. I chose it because I have an interest in learning about machines especially automobiles. Our teachers were very well qualified. The practical labs and workshops were well designed but some machines were outdated or just not in working condition. We have exams twice a year, to be honest, it was really difficult to pass in some subjects like engineering mathematics, Mechanical Vibrations, a lot of students got reappears in semester examinations.
Placement Experience
The placement in this college is good but can't be stated as great. Some companies visit each year, but the package is not that great. One has to prepare for the gate to get a better opportunity. For computer science, students placements are pretty good. But for mechanical engineering students, there is a need for improvement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our fees were basically approx 71000 rs annual. During my course, we didn't see any fee hike. There are scholarships for sc/st and obc. Some scholarships for toppers were also given. Fees are low for students of sc/st category. There is further a fee concession for economically weaker section students under a category named TFW.
Campus Life
Life at the campus was fully enjoyable. After our classes, we may go to the library, which is very well maintained and updated with a large number of books from different authors. During my course, I didn't purchase any books from the market. There are common rooms for students where you can play chess, table tennis, etc. The wifi facility at the campus is really good.
Other Applied Colleges
YMCA Faridabad | BTech in mechanical engineering
I didn't opt for the college as it was far away from my home town, and I have already got a seat in
