Best College for Engineering in Navi Mumbai

It is an 5-7 out of 10 pointer college for all Engineering students. Faculties like Civil Engineering needs development, new lab machines, 10 year experienced professors. Other Engineering Dept's. have got good faculties, infra, professor & most imp placement with 4 lpa to 12 lpa package.

I'd done Diploma in Civil Engineering from 'Shri Bhagubhai Mafatlal Polytechnic'. So we directly get admission in Second Year of BE degree college. I scored 81.93% in Diploma in Civil Engineering final year. I choose Civil Engineering because I wanted to join a course where I could lead & command a team & start an entrepreneurial venture in Construction.

Course Structure is decided by Mumbai University which is standard for all Engineering colleges in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai & Thane. Teaching & Professor Caliber is at par better than all Navi Mumbai & Mumbai Colleges (But not as best as compared to VJTI, Sardar Patel, Saboo Siddiq, Rizvi & Datta Meghe). Focus on PPT, research, Industrial visit, Site visit is Good. Site visit to Dam, Infrastructure & Building Sites is usually a great learning experience.

No they don't sadly. In Diploma College Baghubhai Vile Parle we had 2 x six months internships. Stipend Rs.1500 to 8000 per month

Pretty Bad sadly. Only few companies come for Civil Engineering students like ManInfra, Icici, etc. But for Comps, IT, Extc, Biomedical, etc fantastic firms come like IBM, Patni, Wipro, etc. Other large MNC companies usually confined to above faculties. The package ranges from 2.5 L for Civil students. And 6lpa to 12 LPA for Computer, IT & Extc faculties.

This is the best in MGM CET known as Arete It has got everything from sports to fun games, ppt to tech paper ppt, model design, treasure hunt, etc. ARETE- Enlightening excellence is the annual function of MGMCET. The whole festival is divided as Tech arete, Fun Arete and Action Arete.

Ratan Tata Scholarships of 25000 per year for students above 75% in 12th or Diploma last year can be availed by filling form from office. BC, OBC, SC, ST, NT, J&K guys are in for a treat. Their whole four year engineering is completed in 30 thousand.

Crowd / gender ration is 20% girls all usually traditional thoughts girls. Boys 60% are also traditional untrendy usually from Maharashtra region. Boys 20% constitute of GS, Secretary, Class representatives, etc Achievers who are the charm of college. Race, Religion, Ragging, etc is not applicable here. Marathi crowd is more. Dorm parties, smoke, pot, flirting, etc is also not applicable. Tech, Sports & Games Fest name Arête is Excellent. Prom & Annual day parties are great too. Extra curricular is great but limited till state level.

Petty much average. In 50,000 per yr separate for Hostel only u get cold water, fan, one hall TV, electricity. That's it. But the ground is humongous. The rest of the details can be checked out from an personal visit to the campus & dorm & rooms. By asking the current students residents about the facilities would be an excellent idea to begin with. I did exactly the Same.

Senior students are less helpful & even their vision is not in way compared to IIT or other college students like SPCE or VJTI. You're on your own in studies but in extra curricular the seniors are always ready. From fashion show to Tech fest & sports they will help u in all of it.

In Engineering degree, there are Periodic test exams & Semester exams. Only marks of Semester exams is taken into consideration. 20% Test, viva Exam. 80% Semester Exam marks every 6 months of 100 marks for 6 subjects. Final year marks of 7th & 8th Sem should be 80+% or 8.5+ GPA to get good placements.

1. The final year percentages are entered online along with personal details List of colleges opting for as per choice (10 colleges) on 'Director of Technical Education'. Then after filling in the form online & printout of the same is to be submitted to nearby DTE centre. They give written acknowledgement. Then 1st, 2nd & 3rd list are released as per the percentages of students. Normally 1st list is considered final as only few Engineering colleges are there in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai vicinity are there.

All Professor are either ME & beyond educated. Teaching skills are traditional & are in the confined bracket to text book learning & only curriculum. Sadly for few subjects they have appointed the ME students as Professor for BE students. Professor are bit bent towards local language when doubts are asked. All in all professor are just okay.
