Remarks

The admission process is quite smooth for this college. To take admission you must have passed 12th and should have qualified the admission exams either of JEE or MHCET. All admission process is done right at the main building of the college free of cost. Once your 12th marks are out you should contact the college over mail/ phone or also can visit the college too and they will provide you with all the important dates, documents, and fees for college. Also, keep eye on Maharashtra's official site for the online process. So far I was able to do my admission for college and hostel within a single day since they briefed me everything over call in advance when I contacted them. So it was a really easy and satisfying experience in terms of admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Cummins, I would call only engineering college in Pune which is operating very punctually and strictly in order to deliver best class education. I chose Cummins for an instrumentation not only because it is one of the very few colleges providing this course but also because of its positive reviews from its past students, very well educated and helpful staff, and availability of one of the best labs an instrumentation student would look for and last but not the list is their placements. The attendance criteria in college are very strict. One must fulfill 70% attendance to lectures and 100% for practicals. The faculty conducts lectures & practicals regularly and nowhere they will hesitate to answer your doubts. I would say the instrumentation department has the best staff( All Ph.D. holders) in my opinion since they will explain concepts thoroughly, give a live demo of practicals. They have the latest software, machines, and setups. But exams are the most strict part here only hard work and regular study can save you.

Placement Experience

4.5

I passed out with a college placement offer in my hand and that too in the company in which I really wanted to work. So I accepted the offer and started off with my corporate career. After some years of experience, I am planning to go for my master's.

Fees and Financial Aid

A number of scholarships are available here. They will brief you about these on the very first day of your college during induction. I opted for the Tuition fee waiver scheme which exempts you from tuition fees. Talking about placement, in my class almost 85% of all eligible students were placed and that too in their core companies. Throughout the year, companies will come. But once placed you can not opt for another company, But they will allow you for going for companies offering package above 30 LPA you have got package below 10 LPA. So overall the placement cell over here is great. For instrumentation companies like Emerson, Honeywell, GE, BOSCH, TE Connectivity, Thermax, Forbes will come. On average for instrumentation students applying for core companies pkg will range from 4 LPA to 10LPA. IT companies during my passing year have given packages as high as 40LPA. Plus many companies will come for interns too.

Campus Life

4.5

Students run many technical and non-technical groups & clubs. The college has coding clubs. And if you are interested in art then there is Kalavant, Drama club, Dance club. Social life in Cummins is full of fun and new things. Also, technical competitive groups are there which represent the college in national level competitions like Robocon, BAJA.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college has 3 hostels, Baya karve, David & Yashlaxmi. I opted for the Baya Karve hostel Complex, it's very close too college. Other than this there are many private PGs nearby. Accommodation and Food in the college hostel are satisfactory.
