Course Curriculum Overview

5

As the college is autonomous college so the syllabus set by college desk itself. And the academics is set as per students learning and placement point of view which will help in future placements and learning. In one semester there 3 exams i.e., 2 units and 1 final in which unit exams are of 1 hr each and final is 2 hours.

Internships Opportunities

4

There were many intership opportunities in college like many companies visited college like microsoft, amazon, mastercard, etc. But i didnt got any internship so i focused on placements. I did final year project instead of internship which was on detecting lung cancer.

Placement Experience

5

Students are eligible to sit for internships from 5th semester and if selected for internship students have to do internship in 7th semester and if they earn ppo(pre placement offer) then they are placed and will be out from further placament process, and the students who doesn't have internship pr the people who didnt got ppo they can further sit for placement process and it is fully optional, students can even opt to not sit for placament process and can focus on their study for higher education. The companies which come in our college are like microsoft, amazon, walmart, JP morgan, SAP, deloitte, pwc, Deutsche bank, city bank, mastercard, visa, diamler trucks, volvo, airtel, and many more, there are almost 150 to 180 companies which visits the college. Highest package foe year 2023-24 is of microsoft that is 50LPA. Cummins college has 100 percent placement. I got placed in Deloitte through campus only.

Fees and Financial Aid

- The year wise fees I paid is 99,612/- for final(4th) year, this is fees for OBC. - tution fee: 73000/-, development fee: 23,087/-, university fee: 525/-, exam fee: 3000/- Overall, its very good college overseeing all the factors like - fees for general category is 1,80,000/-, for SC&ST is 7000(maybe). - there are many scholarships available like catalyst, leela punawala, schenider electric, cybage, etc. 1. Faculty: very supportive, helpfull and knowledgeable 2. Academics: as the college is autonomous, the syllabus is very helpfull as per learning as well as placement point of view. 3. Beside academics: college has really good cultural, technical and sports events, college really supports extra curricular talent. 4. Environment and campus: very peacefull and green campus. 5. Facilities: there are very good facilities like labs, library, hostel, canteen, etc 6. Fee: college has really reasonable fees and it is worth it. 7. Placement: cummins has veryyy good placement opportunities and the college has 100% placement ratio and college also supports higher studies. Top companies visits college such as microsoft, walmart, phonepay, bloomberg, deloitte, pwc, etc which don't even go to top colleges in pune.

Campus Life

5

There are many cultural, technical, sports events held in college, cultural festival name is Gandhaar which goes for around 4-5 days then technical fest is Innovation which is held for 2 days then comes sports event which is pentacle similarly held for around 2-3 days. The facilities procided in college are really good like each class has projectors and speakers, labs are really neat and instrumentallly occupied, library has its its different aura, there are each type of books available and also they have E library.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel service is really good, management of baya karve hostel is top notch, campus is so peacefull, the hostel campus has 4 buildings and 3 mess and each mess has different catering so we can choose for which mess we have to go every month. Meal quality is another level you will start hating your home made food. Rooms are three share, each girl will get bed, table, chair, a cupboard each. Rooms are well lighten, fan is there. The cleaning staff will come daily to clean dorms, washrooms and bathrooms as bathroom and washroom is common for 1 floor each, but we have to clean our own room. And as for locality its in 2 min walking distance from college and the locality is one of the best areas in pune that is karve nagar.

Admission

I applied for many good colleges in pune like coep, vit, pict, viit, etc but i got this college as per my score. And i feel lucky because college is overall very good in all aspects as placement, the management, academics, extra curricular, etc.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:40. The staff is really very good, supportive and smart. I personally liked a professor named ashwini maam who taught us for 3-4 semesters for subjects like digital signal processing, deep learning, artificial intelligence, etc. There are many more very good faculties like sandeep musale sir, palan sir, manasi maam, etc. And for exams they are on expected level like what they teach you on that basis only exams can be expected and the student failing ratio is also not that much.

Night Life

5

There is gym of mksss sanstha, but not that good. College library is really well occupied and smart. Cafeteria is also very good, try cold coffee, bread roll or pattice its a deadly combo and veryyy yummy I'll 100% suggest go and have it. As for hostel there are many hostels of mksss but I was in Baya karve hostel, its really very good, the campus, food rooms everything is really veryyy good, compared to all other hostels in comparison with food, rooms, fees go for baya karve and yes in-time for hostel is 8:30pm. There are many famous places to hangout in pune like saras bagh, parvati, dagdusheth temple, khadakwasla, sinhgad, okayama garden, etc

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.
